agree nik ive managed to program my new key to remotely unlock/lock the car but alas it looks like im going to have to bite the bullet and take it to fords to be programed to the pats, unless anyone out there knows if theres another way or whether vag com can do it?

try ebay ive just recently bought another key but make sure it has the same code(mhz)as the 1 you have already,hopefully it will come with a chip in it,but as nik says it all depends on the version you have.
