THANKS AND WELL DONE TO CUSTOMER SERVICES AT MARCHWOOD(HENDY FORD) today recived the printout on the cam belt change full service was carried out(60,000 mile)cam belt and tensioner various filters and oil change carried this out when the car was showing 57,047 miles,then the person sold the car and i bought it with iro 57,500 miles,so im a happy chappy :14:

hi peeps have been hunting through ebay and came across someone advertising, unlocking your digital dash ie miles left in tank etc etc,is this something thats mentioned in the handbooks that ive missed? just wondered if its worth doing or not?

hi peeps had a stroke of luck today,was doing some work today for a customer and the chap only turns out to be a senior technician for diagnostics ;) ,my word he undone his boot and the stuff hes got,he kindly read my codes(thankfully there wernt any)WITH 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF MACHINES ;) ,one of them was a bosch machine that looks like a play station am going to arrange with him to program my spare key to the car ;) . anyway had a chat with this very kind chap and he has said that he MIGHT BE WILLING to carryout diagnostics for other people on this forum,i will not be giving his details out on an open forum but if you are interested then you will have to contact me.dont know how much he will charge that will be between yourselves,but he did agree that dealer prices were way over the top he told me to google the name frank massey,this used to be his boss and he is still in regular contact with this guy,apparently this bloke is A GURU in diagnostics. have given him a flyer about this forum and he did take a quick looksie in here. i would like to say many thanks to david for his advice and info today,muchly appreciated. :16: regards gregers

well it pays to use your brain once in a while :P i had some history from HENDY FORD MARCHWOOD down in Southampton and gave them a call,EXTREMELY HELPFUL apparently they had carried out a full service on the car at approx 52k AND THE TIMING BELT WAS CHANGED along with the followers etc,they had it all on there computers and they are sending me a print out of the things that have been done to the car,thats handy then saved me the expense of having it changed :D the chap said my version needed it changed every 60k amazing eastbourne ford said 40k,anyhow saved me a load of dosh so im a happy bunny :o.

it will be a risk,you do have some recourse with ebay,we bought 1 last year with a load of games and extras and everything worked faultlessly,also take a look in your local friday ad etc.

take a look in the faqs section in technical im sure theres a video of one that had the glow plug change and that smoked so i would say its normal.
