yep,mine is fubard horrendous noise in the end,with the help of the peeps on here tracked it down to the compressor and the dealer said its knackerd,have managed to obtain another compressor,so hopefully will have it replaced in the next few months ready for summer(thats if it works).

im a happy bunny,my gal passed its mot today emissions were well below max limit so the cars running ok,only advisories were a couple of tyres getting near the limit,so its a big sigh of relief.

weight.he was the only person in the car,so he loaded up with sand and gave it a bit of welly :P

look again,it might be a broken wire that hasnt broken the sleeve.

right peeps,have managed to obtain another compressor 2nd hand from a garage,was to be fitted to another galaxy but the customer changed there mind,apparently its all ok and working,what i would like to know from you all knowing beings is, what needs to be done to the compressor etc,ie does it need oil put in it? spoke to kwik fit and they reckon that if the compressor on my car is fubared then the gas has leaked out and a recharge is 35 quid at the mo,obviously im doing this on the cheap lack of funds etc,just would like a fighting chance of trying to get this sorted out with guidence from you experts.awaiting your responses. regards gregers

you havnt changed the battery's in your fob have you?sounds like you might have lost the chip from inside.

well i must be a minority,although my zafy was a mk 1 dti i thought the car was very good,just needed a bigger car like the galaxy thats why i changed,im 6'2 and i did find at times the driving position was a little bit cramped on a long journey but on the whole it was a good car,i have also had a couple of the mk2 on hire and i thought the 1.6 petrol to be COMPLETE PANTS but the deisel 1 was pretty good.

i think its the run on pump your hearing.

at the mo there seems to be a lot of exhuast parts for sale on ebay,perhaps you could make a complete one up yourself and save a fortune in the process????

you sure about the powered rear quarter vents?sure ive read somewhere that this option had been discontinued because of the thatcham insurance rating.sure its on here somewhere.

ask at your local fords,let them belive there getting the work,thun use the info gained and search on ebay for a remote and blank key.

did you use any accelerator for the super glue?this helps it bond to the surface(spray 1 side glue on the other).

phil type in white smoke in the search window,there seems to be tons of posts.

could be,as i said kwik fit are doing regases for 35 quid in my area,personally id try that 1st to see if there is a leak then your have to decide where you go from that as it can be very expensive,to sort out(hopefully not).

rsgsg,take a look in the technical section(faqs)there you will find info about broken wires in the doors,this could be your problem with your central locking.

i wonder if the insurance ombudsman can help?just a thought whether they can help out in any way,or point you in the right direction.

hi phil,wheres the white smoke coming from?the exhaust or the booster heater? the temp problem could be a sensor,im sure theres been posts on this before.
