er depending on when the car was registered,ie early part or latter part of 2003 it will not need the cam belt changed until 60k(DO A SEARCH ON HERE FOR CAM BELTS),something that you will not be able to check if its working or not is the rear booster heater(ITS FAR TO HOT NOW)as dave says it will either be a 115/or 130 bhp,negotiate over the tyres,doubtful whether your be able to tell if the drive shafts need replacing but as mentioned bear this in mind?if in doubt take a decent mechanic with you to give the car a good going over,BUT IF ITS FROM A GARAGE get these things checked and make sure you get some sort of warranty with it. OH and make sure you get 2 keys with it,COZ THERE BLOODY EXPENSIVE. HTH.

iirc this has cropped up numerous times on here, im sure ive seen it at 40000 for your age car,the change over to 60k was at 2003. now id like to know is,have the parts been upgraded and if so does that mean you still have to change at 40k?

did you buy it,sold as seen???if not iirc the dealer is obliged to carry out any repairs under the sale of goods act,i think dealers have to give a minimum of 28 days warranty on any cars they sell?.
