i have noticed that the booster(mine)will cut out when i turn the interior heating off,but once it is turned on(high)it starts up again,dunno if this is right or wrong????

soz to hear about your accident maz,as others have said if you have a witness and they are on your side then use them,has the other person got any witnesses?you pay for insurance use it and legal side of it aswell,hows your neck etc etc :wacko: ,bear in mind that the reason she has blamed you is that SHE KNOWS it was her fault and is trying to get a fast buck.

there was a discussion about other people taking the blame on the Jeremy vine show today on radio 2 about a woman doing this and she has been sentenced to take a holiday with her majesty.mind you i think she did do it 2-3 times for her family.

are you using more electrical devices now its cold,the higher you set the heaters etc the harder the engine has to run blah blah blah,sometimes its the simply things we over look.

well ive fixed it,followed the instructions in the faqs(cheers jonhr)and he is right about them bloody spring clips took me an age to get to them/off,borrowed a couple of brushes out of my cheap copy dremel and i used some sand paper to give them a sand down,put everything back together again and hey presto it was whirring a good en,there was a load of crap inside the unit,old powder/dust from the old brushes,i have taken a couple of photos but am having trouble uploading them at the moment,the instructions in the faqs are pretty much idiot proof(they must be ive just followed them) :) ^_^ i dont have much confidence on working on cars,i started about 1pm and finished about 4pm,but ive also had to replace a headlight bulb and as you know thats a simple job especially the air filter side. :) thanks for the replys guys.

rallim,yes thats what mine is doing,the booster is spooling up and then shuts down after only a few minutes,have noticed that when i put the heater on full the temp gauge starts to drop so i think you are right about the water flow,had read about hot spots etc thats why i asked if it isnt working correctly will it cause damage to the engine?

hi folks think my run on pump is kaput cannot hear any noises coming from the engine bay have read up on replacing the brushes in it,how long can you run the car with out this item working correctly? have seen a post that it only really matters in the summer?how true is this quote? and can anyone offer any thing else to john r great post in the faqs? also where is it on the tis disk? cheers in advance gregers

try looking on ebay they sometimes come up.or try your local breakers,unless you want to go down the stealers route who will liberate you of about

I'm with SK on this one - I am sure that Gregers is upset and I do understand - but this is turning in to a mawkish breast beating session - open a section for this - it's obviously a winner!!! nah i still think this has loads of mileage left :D

mmmm what did consumer direct actually say to you about it,i:e do you have a strong case? coz id still be unhappy about even having to cough up half the amount(but thats me). if the law is on your side I WOULD NOT FEEL SORRY FOR THE DEALER AT ALL,just think of all the other peeps who have been fobbed off by him,its amazing with a little knowledge how they buckle in the end when you have the law on your side,but if your happy with what he has offered(potentially)then thats the main thing,if he wont budge on extending the offer see if he will up grade and lengthen the warranty you have with him.dont ask dont get :rolleyes: . glad to of helped in a small way,which is what this forum is all about.

ahhhhh thats better,as insider says cheeky there will be a wear indicator on the rears aswell as the fronts.

Its all under warranty anyway thank god but the car dealer is another problem contacted him yep the gray area came in as well it was ok when you bought it and your warranty as just ran out only had it 6 weeks we only give 28 day warrantys with our cars. mmmmmm think you might want to check sale of goods act,cant remember who it is you need to contact,but i seem to remember that under the sale of goods act you have 28 days to reject the car or report all faults that you come across to the dealer,and im sure any dealer has to give a minimum of 3 mths warrenty with any car sold,again check this out to make sure, check this out,especially where it states "Reversed Burden of Proof" http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum...act-buying.html hope this is of help.

Is she noisy when flat out? Does she smoke after a good run? Is she better on a long haul or does she like a quick sprint? Does she swallow the juice or is she economical with it? Does she prefer the rough bumpy ride or the smooth one? Can you get much in the back? How does she handle in the wet? How many knobs are/have been inside? Can she accommodate one adult in the front and two in the back? What does the gas smell like? thanx for the replys,kids have been quite tearful today think its finally hitting home that shes gone,its funny how you find yourself doing all the things you had to do when we had her,like making sure the gate was shut on the kitchen so she couldnt help herself to the contents of the bin :blink: .it just feels so empty without her,sad git i know but its amazing on how much of an impact she had on the family.
