Most car ramps will foul the underskirt of your galaxy. That's actually what led me to make this: http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1111424708.jpg http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1111036491.jpg http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1111036612.jpg http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1111424415.jpg http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1111424595.jpg Or if you can't make the above... http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads//post-34-1111149588.jpg :D :D  B)

Special Status For Long Standing Members
Dave-G replied to a topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
I think thats a fair idea. That bloke with the dummy that should be worn out by now seems a fair candidate for one - being as this was a result of his complaint opinion :) but there are a few more too - perhaps we'll need a poll for that too? -_- Most of the ones I initially benefited from are gone from this forum, and I have to say I have lost touch with the technical section recently. Anyway - here's another frivolous use of the forum, B) :D :D B) As I see it :D :D  -
Screw threads have held it in thus far - leave it be if it aint losing air and enjoy the weekend mate.

Guy's, I don't normally comment on my wife's gullibility, but it turns out the reason she has been so captivated by the program is that she thinks the dinosaurs are real because of the way the makers have fitted it with modern times. :) Suss out your wife's perception of this for me - PULEASE :)

If Your Car Dont Start
Dave-G replied to boxman32's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I cant recall the flashing sequence - but I too have noted some sort of code in the door led fashing - If you can be bothered to plough through my threads you'll find the details. I rather suspect this is some sort of readable code, depending on the number of quick or slow flashes. This feature is used on some nissan micra's via a LED in the stereo :) -
Don't laugh at this till you try it... Get to a distance where your remote don't work... look at the car... point the key to your brain and press the button :) Don't ask me... try Jeremy Clarkson :) However - If you mean the remote locking sensors - somewhere near the tops of the front and rear screens. :P

Some of the other foums I post on have a triangle, or a "report this post" feature that all members can use to alert mods. Example in the top right hand corner here: (red triangle) http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135730 And the lower panel here: http://www.airgunforum.net/agf/index.php?showtopic=24312 I wont have a problem with this post being modded to delete the links once they've been noted.

Power Loss/poor Running Bus
Dave-G replied to scrote's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Both mine and my mates have oil on them. "Temperature and Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (TMAP) measures the atmospheric pressure with ignition on and manifold vacuum pressure when engine is running as well as the manifold air temp" No wonder mine cost me -
Power Loss/poor Running Bus
Dave-G replied to scrote's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
The T-Map is just under the other side of the engine cover, with a similar looking plug on it. It's a manifold temperature sensor and only needs a cross head screwdriver to remove it. Shown in photo -
Power Loss/poor Running Bus

If you have a buddy with the same car try a tempory swap of the MAF, then the T-MAP - and both you try it. Only try one at a time. this is easily and quickly done if you get a tamper proof torx driver set (for the MAF) and just change the part that holds the plug. -
Much Cranking Before Firing
Dave-G replied to marinabrid's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I seem to recall seeing something on this forum about glow plug activation as you unlock the car. A clever idea, since most times you do so will be followed by an engine start. If the eventual start is also a bit lumpy for a few seconds I too would look to a glow plug. -
There's a couple of push fit retaining tabs at the back of each sensor. Bend them out of the way then push them out though the front of the bumper. It spunds like the sensor may be damaged causing a constant "make" connection.

Is it ok with a cold engine?

Circular Hole In Top Of Passenger Footwell?
Dave-G replied to a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Washing the engine compartment would certainly do that, dont worry - the grommet wont require a remortgage. -
Circular Hole In Top Of Passenger Footwell?
Dave-G replied to a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
There should be a grommet in that hole - but it's doubtfull that its the source of the leak... as there would not be any water in that area to leak in. Does your rear window washer work first as a starting point? if not, do a search for "rear washer" A 2004 model is unlikely to have blocked scuttle drains, but search that too if the washer works ok. -
Every car has issue's mate this one seems to have loads because ... there are loads of them about, in various forms. Also they generally belong to a person who will try to fix it themselves.

Edited :(

Right - it's sorted :) There were no leaks to hoses, so: The other 2 faults listed were "manifold absolute pressure sensor" and "manifold temperature sensor" There was also something about positive deviation and open/short circuit somewhere, I cant remember where the guy said that was. It had again cooled off by this time - and good fortune gave me a good area to keep my foot down with few obstacles... at a time when it was running well - untill the engine temperature guage got to about 70 degrees. It took a lot of searches to finally find a post about the location of the manifold temp sender :D OMG remember I got told someone had been advised to try the other maf? :( it was MAP - well T MAP to be more accurate! That was from my sister - but without knowing the quality of her adviser I'd "filed it" :( - well it was from a girl that knows jack about cars :D :( Another visit to my friend saw us swapping them over... O JOY The part is
