  3. yes IIRC that was the conclusion drawn on the original thread way way back :wub: so what LD is not untrue but might not tell the whole story, certainly the glowplug light is not on when you open the door but I wonder what the preheat cycle is - full on??
  4. oh yes didn't think of that, now you mention it though - I often redo the locking if I am not sure which I've just done (or if there is any doubt) and this time make sure which key I am pressing :wub:
  5. cheers you have no idea the threads we have had about this - from 'key in lock - glowplugs go on' to 'car telepathically knows you are approaching and turns them on' :lol: :lol: oh yes we are all

  8. Possibly one glowplug gone u/s. If you turn the ignition on and off a couple of times - does it make any difference - possbly battery not at its best anymore

  14. you could always do the liste... oh you've tried that then :huh: personally couldn't hear a thing - had some trouble with them recently - disconnected all the plugs i could find used contact cleaner on them and now they work fine - we really could do with a place to repair these like the dutch cruise control units (see useful links)

  17. this is starting to remind me of a thread about changing a Maf sensor on here a while ago - after 4 or 5 peeps tried convincing a poster that he needed to change his maf sensor -about 30 posts, he evens wanted a guarantee that it would solve his problem :huh: in the end he did change it - and yes it did solve it but it was hard work :lol: this one looks like its all over though - unless of course the new owner registers .................... :lol:
  18. :huh: :huh: :lol: if you use a ford dealer Formula SD and ask them for the other 0.5l in the container, useful as top ups if needed, also if its still overfilled they may have overlooked changing the filter :o apparently :lol:
