The letter mentions satnav with camera detection - not a camera database, would a road map on which you have marked the positions of cameras on be illegal???

as BJ says its in the handbook. I would have a look for you but its packed up somewhere ATM

Perhaps we should have a sticky thread in 'Dealer service .....' where we could add good dealers to a list - it might be quite short but we've had good service from 'J R Fords of Shefford' FWIW

Out of interest was the car a import - some countries don't allow the indicators to flash when setting alarm etc - if not, have they ever flashed? As goofgolfer says a duff switch but in this case I think that they should still flash on unlock see the following thread. GRUMPY look here duff bonnet switch

Maf again :20: :20: -
If you press the button directing the air on to your feet does it come out cold from the vent behind the handbrake??

the water could result in blocked drains OR leaking rear window washer pipe, before a certain date 97 i think the cl module was under the passenger seat - so yes it could be - need some car details to tell, put them in your sig... car details in sig rear washer pipe clearing scuttle drains do a search on central locking here for loads of hits

never remember the worms :16: is that after you've had the head unit taken out ??????
-
:23: estimate - SHC metals/ceramics are about 1/8 to 1/4 of water - got to be a reasonable conductor for 12V to push 66A though it. USMD - ford give it another name - can't remember, standard alarm is just repeated horn sound - dead dull :16:

ooooh I'm trembling :38: Look at the figures - battery has about 180 glowplug heating cycles in her, how many kids did you have to get in, seats out etc did you say. Mind you its 3.5bullet who said the door thing. :16: it is - too long to type and I can never remember the write worms :23: :23: :38: -

Back to your original question ... sort of, a back of an envelope calculation to show the likely heating times mass of glowplug tip -10g specific heat capacity - 0.5J/g/C temp increase - 800C so each glowplug would need 4000J supplied by the 12V, so if it really heated up in 2sec each would need a current of 166A if connected in parallel a current of 666A. um but high - starter usually takes the greatest current 150A ish (maybe 200A) More realistic to assume 20s - would give a current of 66A - same as heated front screen - much more reasonable. Yes I know it takes no account of heat losses, electrical losses in wires but it gives a minimum current - oh and it doesn't matter if you do the calculation in series either - try it I've just tried it passenger door - glowplug light goes out after 2sec give or take - slightly shorter I would think -

but the passenger door courtesy light may set them off too :38: now how about we enter through any door, deadlock the doors to disarm the volume alarm (2 presses on the remote) suspend a hammock between the A and D pillars kip the night in the car and then in the morning reach down insert the key and then time how long the light stays on. And if it was a mild night we repeat the experiment until we freeze our n*ts off :16: :23: :23: :38: -
Ummm - until recently I was in the situation where I had a faulty rear sensor, I would get the high pitched bleep from the back and the flashing light but the front would work ok. The fault tone on the back would vary but when the fast high pitched bleep came from the back the front would work. :16:
