Arent you going to need a ford to iso harness adapter anyway - so if the radio cannot be remote controlled it wont have the connections anyway

Are you sure you can't get a harness adapter from your head unit to the ford wiring - something like harness adapter Fault codes are usually stored until reset ps: to get wire colors we would probably need more vehicle information - some wiring changed mid 1997 ish - see my signature

I don't see how the trim level would make any difference if you are going to strip the old door, I thought that size and shape are the same between mk1 and mk2 doors but can't be sure I would get a mk1 to be safe - probably more araound anyway

too true - I tried the disconnect test and found that performance was awful - so thought the maf was ok but it kept nagging at me and enough people on the fora said that it may still be a problem so in the end I took the chance ... what a difference it was :lol: :P

I'm a MKII kind of guy but I'd heard that the MKI had some sort of programmable intermitent wipe function - just wondered whether it can be increased up to this speed and thats what you've got - as I said don't really know the MKI so this may be way off :lol: :P

will depend on model here is 2.3 MkII looking from rhs of engine would be useful to know what model/year you are talking about though :lol:

I can't say that this is causing the stalling problem but from your description you have a problem with your maf if disconnecting it makes no difference - your description of driving uphill tallying with everybody elses who has had a maf problem - do a search to convince yourself. I can't believe that it wont help with the stalling problem though

so you definitely have a maf problem then

did disconnecting the maf change the way it drove at all - if it didn't you have a maf problem - this may not be causing the stalling but its certainly not helping. If you disconnect a maf which is even half doing its job you get overtaken by pedal cycles on slight inclines - it almost happened to me when I was testing the maf. Its such an easy change that if someone near you may 'lend' you their maf if you want to check - where are you, what car have you got 115Ps 110Ps ????
