Right here goes... Fuse 4 20amp is the supply for the rear wiper relay and rear motor. Fuse 5 10amp is for the wash wipe stalk and supply to intermittent relay. Fuse 24 is for front wiper relay and supplies wiper motor, it is immediately to the right of K175 on the bottom of the vertical row of four fuses. K11 intermittent wiper relay, bottom row 2nd from left. K64 rear wiper relay, above K11. K175 is the front wiper relay, top row 3rd from left. Can I ask, does the rear wash/wipe work? and does anything work on the front other than wipers returning to park after being forced?

A few thing in haynes are relevant to both mk 1 & 2, significant changes include wiring, dash, , there are minor changes (I believe ) to running gear I'm sure there are others, The manual will give you a rough idea of a job to be undertaken but obviously shouldn't be treated as gospel. You may want to search a well known auction site or p2p networks for a cd called 'tis'

So can my Plecostomous, it can wink, blink and turn pink!!!

"Blame the ECU" is the usual excuse if an electrical problem can't be diagnosed It's possible for ecu to short, but not very likely... if you go down that road ensure its on a "no fix, no bill" basis!!! There is no direct involvement between wash wipe circuit and ecu, (washer bottle low warning is possibly the only one). If the wipers are returning to a park position it suggests a problem within the wash wipe circuit: fuses (dependent on model there are several involved as Rusty Nail suggests), Relays (which my money would be on) or stalk (worn/corroded contacts). It would help if you put some car details in signature/post. Then I'll decipher the relevant wiring diagram and hopefully point you in right direction.

Anyone know of where to get stainless valves for a 2.0l petrol engine???
-
They stopped fitting them in last quarter of 1997. Its a black cylinder type thingy mounted between the battery and block (just in front and right of the coolant bottle, and has a 2" dia hose connected to the exhaust manifold. The fuse and relays are in the aux fuse box (behind battery). but I don't think you'll have them, when faulty the emissions HC is normal but the CO is high. If your running a little rich then it's probably the lamda/air filter or possibly the MAF.

The load index DOES NOT indicate a reinforced/extra load tyre, the gal must have a minimum load rating of 95 + reinforced/extra load.

I tried various solutions to fix mine, only cure was a new lock mechanism, iirc

Cheeper Way To Run Your Car?

Came across something similar posted on RAC forum, most of them fell for it, I had to politely point out it was a load of b0110x. -

Compression Problems
MadBaz replied to swanny1970's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I believe you must not skim the head on 2.0/2.3 engines. I'm not sure why, but TIS and Haynes do stress this. -
If it's a mk1 the fuse for c/l is above and to the left of the relay board I think it's number 55 35amp. You could have broken wire syndrome (driver door and/or tailgate) in the gaiters.

The Weight Loss Program A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program. The next day, there's a knock on the door and there standing before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign round her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads: "If you can catch me, you can have me." Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later, huffing and puffing, he finally catches her and has his way with her. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lb.as promised. He then calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program. The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads: "If you catch me, you can have me." Well, he's out the door after her like a shot! This girl is in excellent shape and it takes him a while to catch her; but when he does, it's definitely worth every muscle cramp and wheeze. So for the next four days, the same routine happens. Much to his delight, on the fifth day he weighs himself to discover that he has lost another 20 lb as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program. "Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone, "This is our most rigorous program." "Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good in years." The next day there's a knock at the door and he runs like hell to open the door. When he opens the door he finds this huge, muscular, 7ft man standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads: "I'm Francis. If I catch you, you're mine."

Brake Bleeding Sequence
MadBaz replied to mustie's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Thats about it, as a rule of thumb start with the brake furthest from the resovoir. -
Next door neighbour has a 04 1.8tdci estate and today the clutch has been juddering, this happens in all gears including neutral and at any speed, the problem is intermitttent and last from a few seconds to several minutes, there is no difficulty changing gear or taking up drive. I'm thinking flywheel possibly or possibly servo. Any suggestions are most welcome

Could be the nsf wheel arch liner fouling tyre when turning right.

Since my mount was nicked a great big wad of blu-tack has sufficed ever since, and it doesn't leave any tell tale circles on quarterlite!

runout (uneven wear) on the discs can cause sponginess as the old pads are worn to the profile of disc and new pads aren't, new discs probably would be the only solution. If air is in the abs unit iirc only the dealer can bleed it. Welcome by the way just watch out for that Mumof4, she's only just been released!

License plate should be fuse 26, 3amp, it is a possibility but any feed/short when light switch is off would be apparent. Just one obvious possibility, are the contacts in the holder clean and under tension when bulb fitted?
-
I agree with Mk2sport, don't bridge between sides. Fuse 56 should be for RH side tail/parking lights!!! Do the parking lights work as they should? ie indicator on when ign key removed? If the fronts are working even when fuse has blown then there is a serious problem. (i know I know no s**t sherlock) Earth points for all lamps may need cleaning/checking for corrosion. Relay may be a probable cause, i think its on the main relay panel, 3rd row down, far left. Running another cable will eliminate cause if problem is with that feed but problem seems to be (imo) within fuse box (relay) or possibly indicator/light switch.

What Number fuse blows? and what is month and year of manufacture? please
