  1. If that had been in this country ..... you could have blamed the manager straight away! :angry2:
  2. Just a little picture I thought people might find amusing...... Mother_Intel.bmp Best caption gets to choose the next piccie
  3. Hiya Disjoint ... welcome from me. I never had a Shedette .... i much preferred the Allaggro of which I had two. The first was a beautiful Primer Grey 1100 with maroon plastic interior with a square steering wheel. The second was a metallic rust colour which used more oil than petrol. Wonderful Days!!! Good luck with your Gal Chris
  4. :) hiya ... welcome to the Forum .... had my Gal a couple of months now and me and the Mrs are over the moon with it. Had a job fitting the retro rockets to it but have come "down to earth" now. Nice motor! You'll find the advice and information given by the kind users very useful .... especially if you can't be bothered to read the manual properly like me! ;) Chris
  5. :( Wouldn't it be a good idea to provide us blokes with a manual for women. Complicated or WHAT!!???
  6. Muffking...you could try this place: http://www.barjo.co.uk/ A freind of mine bought one for her two dogs for her Mondeo estate. A little expensive but very good quality. Hope this helps Chris
  7. :( glad to here that it was only the HT leads and is fixed now. I was interested in all the posts as I had similar problems with a Mondeo. That was the TPS which had an intermittent open circuit at a particular throttle position. Anyway, depending on how quickly you moved the accelerator whilst measuring the o/p voltage, determined whether or not you saw the problem. Seems strange why you have no readings Chris
  8. Thats quite funny, at first I thought you were being serious!! Radiotwo
  9. Another problem could be that people are buying AC bulbs instead of DC ones...that can make a difference into the life of the bulb.....
  10. Just been surfing and found this: http://experts.about.com/q/Car-Radio-Stere...Galaxy-6-cd.htm I dunno if this will help but you might like to try and E-mail the guy for extra details? Chris
  11. Hi Bill.... Im pretty new myself...the most freindly forum I've come across and look forward to posts from yourself. Chris
  12. I'm hoping it's the head gasket since this is much cheaper! However high mileage VR6's have a reputation for camchain tensioner failure which causes these problems. It does sound like only six valves may be affected, often the tensioner (particularly on thrashed boy racer Golfs) fails at high revs causing a catastrophically expensive head wreck. Stop driving it and get it to a specialist danny.s. There, I'm done. Shoot the messenger. Nice to here someone who knows what they're on about
  13. Thats interesting Oscar.....Is it the TravelPilot software your editing the soundfiles on? I've not long bought tthe latest UK version cos I was under the impression that they use their own copy protection and wasn't able to get a naughty version to trial.
  14. A good point Oscar...just a warning to those travelling in France....If you get stopped and caught using your emission detector to detect speed cameras, YOUR CAR WILL BE CONFISCATED until you pay a rediculous fine to release the vehicle. This happened to a guy I work with this August just gone!
  15. Betcha any money its piston slap!
  16. Im pretty sure someone mentioned on a previous post that disconnecting the main plug to changer for at least a couple of minutes and then reconnecting with the power off was the answer. I had similar problems with CD read errors ..... cleaned the laser and all's OK now.
  17. Sounds good for thenew yewr then....perhaps I good do the organising if that's ok with moderators? :D
  18. Just ordered the tickets for 2 adults and 3 kiddies to the Bonfire Extravaganzq at WMSP..... A thought for a future midlands meeting.... RAF Cosford near Telford/Wolves has a fantastic Aerospace museum....and wait for it......FREE ENTRANCE and good car parking. Here's the link: http://www.rafmuseum.org/cosford/index.cfm Well worth a visit (I take my studes here every week and they all enjoy it) :)
  19. I wonder whether the "Vampire" will be placed on the uncool wall now? ..... Hope he gets well soon and returns to present an excellent program.
  20. 2 adults and 3 kiddies .... 1 under 4. Went a couple of years back and had a great day out!
  21. Welcome Jeff....glad to hear you like the new motor.....shame about the "Sarffend Utd" scarfe but someone has to support them.....lol
  22. Sounds a great idea ...... it'll give my monkees a night out on the Galaxys
  23. Thanks m8 i will try that, seems to work for others Will let you know of the outcome. Hi, Just re-read the thread and noticed that it is for diesel engines, dont think it would apply for my car. Thanks anyway. Sorry m8.....I didn't think anyone bought petrol versions these days...lol
  24. Blue, try this link ....should give you an idea where your problem may lie....I reckon the ECU needs remapping with August's firmware upgrade????? http://www.fordmondeo.org/forum/showtopic.php?tid/322474/
  25. Thanks guys, its nice to feel welcomed anywhere. All I have to do now is try and sort out the problem I am now having with my car. Rough running and doing my head in as I cant work out why. Blue you need to give me some more info ....... my TDCI had what felt like misfiring between 1800 and 2000 RPM in fifth going up hills (known problem) .... had the ECU remapped.... still there....nothing they could do as this common problem was being investigated by Ford .... Another solution could be the Injector pump timing which is critical. Give it a good BLAT up a Motorway to see if that cures it.
