Tyre Pressure Sticker
sanjsanj replied to sanjsanj's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I know they over read, i mean why wouldn't the car companies want you to think you're going faster.....but i've read somewhere that by law it can only over/under read by 2 or 3 %......thats why you dont get a ticket for doing over something like 34 in a 30 zone, but mine definitly over reads by way too much compared to my R reg mercedes c200.....at 70 that would read around 73 compared to what i get on the gal... -
Tyre Pressure Sticker
sanjsanj replied to sanjsanj's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I think i made a kerfuffle of my first post so here gos... To date I have seen two types of tyre pressure stickers, one which has the data for three or four different tyre sizes, you look at the relevent tyre size and check the pressure accordingly. These are usually located on the fuel filler flap. the second is like the picture above and is located on the driver's A piller. This has data for only one tyre size. and should, I think, be exactly the same tyre size as what is fitted to your wheels. Those of you who have the latter, can you please verify that both tyre sizes are the same, i.e, the tyre size on your wheel matches what's written on that sticker? thanks....highly appreciated! -
Tyre Pressure Sticker
sanjsanj replied to sanjsanj's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
sure.....i couldn't remember of the top of my head... that ^^sticker says tyre pressure for tyre size 215/55/R16 rf 95H (the only tyre size written on there) and my wheels are fitted with tyres of size 205/60/R15 95H also, does that mean it used to have 16 inch alloys? i'm gutted -
hi guys! I am getting increased feelings that my gal's fitted with the wrong tyre size.....first of all, the ghia should have alloys whereas it has steels, and then the speedo, when compared to the sat-nav's speed, its around 8 MPH out and then on a journey from scotland to home, the sat nav said it would take X miles and the speedo said it took X+10 miles. if you guys have a tyre pressure sticker on your gal/sharan/alhambra which has data for only one tyre size, then please could you see if that tyre size matches what size you've got on your wheels (including MK2's?) at the moment, the factory fitted sticker says 215/xx/R15 whereas i have 205/yy/R15's fitted. thanks!

hi there! I was wondering weather anyone knew how to get of that delay before the CD player changes to the next track.... e.g once song X has finished, the CD timer displays -0.02, then -0.01, then 0.00 AND THEN starts playing X+1 song. I am thinking of making a continuous CD ( a cd that sounds like it has one looooong song on it) and wanted to know how to get rid of that delay.... by the way, i managed to sell my 96 VR6 with 47000 miles on the clock for

eh? the petrols have a 0-60 time of around 10-15 secs whereas the diesel has a 0-60 time of around 20 secs....why does a diesel make it effortless?

hmmm.....when you change the fuel filter, to get the air out all you have to do is put the key in the cranking position and hold until the engine runs properly..... wouldn't you do the same here?

are those multi spoke ones the same as these? by the way: these take a VV long time to clean....best to go with one that has fewer spokes!

that wasn't really much of help....i was asking for something else however i've now managed to fit the multichanger with trial and error. thanks for the help anyway!

Please can someone upload a picture of their CD multichanger (the one fitted in the right hand side boot area) please? I need to know how it is fixed in place i.e where its holder's screws are attached to inside the sorage comparment. good news: I managed to take both the sony and ford stereo out with just two thin screwdrivers....it just has to be small enough to fit in the gaps! Also, on both sharan and galaxy, i've opened up the area behind the seventh seat: the place where the first aid box and emergency tools are kept. here, i found in both of my cars about 8 wires all joined into a connector which is attached to nothing....any ideas what this is? also, ive been trying to fit a cd multichanger on my gal...i managed to run the sound and controller cable from the back of the radio, past the fuse box area, underneath the A pillar trim, underneath the B pillar trim and am now stuck. the cables have reached as far as bottom of the seat belt of the fifth seat (right next to the interior floor light. i dont know how to get the cable past this area, any ideas?
