Oggy on the galaxy (so seat and vw should be the same) the drier is fitted to the condenser but does come as separate part, when i had new condenser last week it came complete with drier fitted and it is recommended that it should be changed every 2 yrs when you have aircon serviced/regassed :blink:

when you set cruise to on should there be a symbol on the dash to say it is engqaged my owner manual seems to suggest there should be but no symbol appears when i engage it ;) i hope that makes sense ;) i know what i'm on about anyway ;)

Strouf i had my galaxy condenser replaced the other day and asked the specialists about the rear blower and it is only heater and not a a/c unit :angry:

They may have overfilled it, there are high and low pressure switches. It may also be a wiring fault or sensor fault. Faults can be read with VAGCOM AFAIK. Thanks seatkid :D as i said it's blowing cold and it's under warranty so i'll live with flashing panel :) i shall have to have a go at the aux heater as it has been disconnected so it must be giving out the old smokescreen when it's cold :D

Yes the repair was satisfactory and they were very helpful , the only thing i am not sure about is why the cc panel still flashes, i am getting differnt views on it so am a bit confused on that one but the unit is blowing cold and at the end of the day that's what matters :) give them a bell and just mention the site as i told them i would be letting people know about it, they diagnosed the problem and very quick it was about 10/15 mins

Has anybody got this in or near the birmingham area as i need to try and get my flashing climate control panel reset, just had new condenser fitted all is well with aircon just the flashing panel peeing me off at the moment :huh: or is it not worth bothering about :huh: all suggestions welcome :huh:

No idea, mine aleways flashes on startup..then it might be ok..then it will flash again..temperamental i guess like most teens!!Prob needs regassing, ill get that done when it no longer works i guess! Having been at the regas shop yesterday and reading up on the way aircon works and the reasons it fails it be would advisable to get the regas done before it packs up as they have to put oil in the gas which in turn lubricates the compressor if you run your aircon all the time and there is insufficient oil in gas then you will be putting the compressor at risk and that is a megabucks job :lol:

very impressive figures speed and economy only thing i would be worried about would be the engine as that sort of increase could be detrimental to the engine/box as they are built to specifics or am i worrying about nothing :wub: it should of been

Just back from air con specialist and it's :wub: news i'm afraid ,the condenser is knackered and with fitting and vat 329.00 but the mazda dealer who sold me the car and also told me they had done the aircon after taking it back twice will be footing the bill -_- had a chat with the manager and he said he will talk to the owner about giving us a discount for our forum, i'll keep you informed.
