  1. Good one seatkid, must admit when my drivers door one snapped I bought complete assembly from scrapyard for £25, next time I'll give it a go lol
  2. Which means the problem may not be AC unit but something else supplied by fuse 19, have you thought of jury rigging 12v direct to unit to see if it works?
  3. You could always beat her to death with a branch, faulty style!!!
  4. Good point there bigdave, I forgot that splines are steel and wiper arms are ally.
  5. No problem glad you sorted it out.
  6. Mines been on for a few years now, re-set but goes straight back on, going to have to bite the bullet and take steering wheel off and change clock spring. Taking safety factors seriously to stop the damn thing going off lol.
  7. First question is what's not working? I went for four years using key to open rear door to later find broken wires in loom, now all lock, the car was like that when I bought her so I thought that was the norm, it was only after looking on here when rear wiper stopped working I looked in rubber gator and found a right mess, to fix did a visit to local scrap yard and cut out a long section of wire in rear door pillar, cut out crap and joined in pillar and under trim in rear door, leaving plenty to flex in rubber gator, it's easy doing it this way as colour cables stay the same.
  8. Check the tightness of leads on starter and earths and from alternator.
  9. If you order a wishbone and have a ball joint the job is a walk in the park to do, BUT, before that have you considered taking the wishbone off with ballpoint connected, you can then beat ten bells of s..t out of ball joint to get it out of wishbone end, they are not difficult to get out and then you can inspect rear bush as they are a crap design and the rubber splits, changed mine to solid rubber construction. Good luck.
  10. Another way is to put nut back on but not all the way, use a block or something solid and sturdy under the nut and ground lower the car a little to some weight on it, then with a large lump hammer and blunt chisel/bar, clout the end of wishbone down until she pops. Please ensure you have axle stands etc underneath just incase lol hate to give advise and someone gets hurt.
  11. Good luck with all the work, keep us informed.
  12. I had a similar problem, bought special socket from Ebay to remove old ones and bought a replacement set from them also, ensuring to get the ones for ally wheels!
  13. Chuffing hell, your tested must have been having a bad day lol
  14. Just had a word with my brother (mot tester), he informs me that any advisories are not put on database, therefore it you went to another garage it's classed as a new test and you pay full amount, if you manage to do any of the advisories inform the old tester and he will remove them from your pass certificate, hope that's readable n clear!
  15. As acecard points out about advisories, ensure you take back to same tester for re-test and they stay as advisories, otherwise!!!!!!!!!
  16. Where are you cugsy, I'm in Gosport and have the gear if it's any good to you.
  17. Ha good one, my wife needs a new knob..... Wait for it! As the one on her seat is bust, so please keep us informed.
  18. I haven't carried a spare wheel for 8 yrs, got an LPG tank instead, all I carry is a Tyre inflator bottle x2, used one once when I picked up a nail, pulled it out n used bottle to re .
  19. I have checked pipes and switched at pedals, had pump apart, cleaned and dried out, my next job is to jury rig power and pipe so as to have pump on seat next to me, this way I can check to see if it's working while my wife drives. If the pump runs then a loss of vacuum, I shall then connect pipe to connector at peddles, I will sort it in the end, I cannot find relay though, believed to be behind radio somewhere, I've looked bit can't find.
  20. It would but not sure you can do that with the vacuum system fitted, your lucky I can't get mine to operate, given up looking for relay.
  21. My mistake, haven't used mine for ages, just checked, if you hold set button in speed will increase only.
  22. Silverbeast is correct at the end of the stalk there is a rocket switch, when switched to cc to increase speed hold in the top of rocket switch, to lower speed hold in bottom of rocket switch.
  23. Cheers for that will check it out.
  24. That sounds like a bargain to me, mines been flashing for at least five years lol still get cold air though so my problem may be just a top up.
