Ive got half a towbar ,cross member fitted hjustmissing the swan neck bit:-):-)

With the ignition off the car should have no control over it If your unit allows it to play independantly you probaly have to hold a button down to turn it on ,try pressing tge power button for a few seconds

I should add my next move is to chuck a gallon of water over the bottom ns of the windscreen and see what happens

Finally replaced the brushes in my pump and thoroughly skinned my knuckles refitting it. Still no joy with it firing up,akways has been intermittant Thought id give the bus a treat and wash it Pulked out of the wash and there it was burning away merrily. Then i remembered this has happened before,same carwash tho on the way to work Seems to suggest a wiring fault but where do you guys reckon it could be? Front scuttle nr the temp sensor or underneath around the burner itself? That seems unlikely to me due to it location high up underneath Or should i just move closer to that wash:-)

Some stereos have to switch red and yellow wires round to give a permant live to memory

Ive got brushes ,around5.5x6mm about15mmlong rear entry braid but ive used them to redo my pump ok. You just need to cut the brush down short enuff that the braid is well in the slot I figured the pump has done over 90000 miles and the xar wont see another 10yrs! £4 a pair posted (Mods hope this is ok ,if not please delete)its fine B)

Dont matter so long as its between the marks on the dipstick,although to get an accurate reading the engine will be cold so the oil hasnt been pumping round That way anything that is going to be be measured will have drained into sump

Also make sure the temp sensor on the wiper linkage is connected,mine disconnected and blanked trip comp dispkay

Looks like a nice conversion but im a bit confused why it was needed My 2001mk2ghia has a 3point belt on the centre seat ,presumably as standard

As the man above says u can use an ipod adaptor(if your using ipod) that plugs into cd changer socket. You loose the changer if its fitted but works a treat. It what i use

Seem to recal on my mk2 disconnecting the outside temp sensor for the aux heater stopped my display working(on wiper linkage)reconnecting sirted it

If the garage gas described the pas belt as loose or slipping first thing as the guys have said is tighten it up and see what hapoens. Quick easy and cheap fix
