Hello. I believe all the box's are ford on the galaxy, are they VW box's on the VW's? i was wondering if the wiring was different at all, as the galaxy's seem to have lots of silly faults with wires breaking in the door pillars and boot hinge's.

Just wondering what the mail difference's are, as sheran's seem to be a lot more expensive...

Hello seat kid, great posts btw. I' v just taken off my fuel filter to drain and replace. Where abouts should the o-ring be on the t piece please? i didn't see one (although i'm not having any problems). Would a new filter come with the o ring? thanks.

Hello. Would it hurt to put in the 5W40 pd 505.01 stuff? As that's what iv bought...I though the 5 just meant it starting working at a lower temprature? (5c) Thanks.

ok thanks. i don't know what oil is in it at the moment, so do you think that stuff will be ok to mix with?, as there is gonna be a bit left around the engine after i drain it...thanks.

Hi. What oil would be best for this engine please? Do i need to conform too VW505.01, or will just a good quality diesel oil do? The motorparts shop is saying 15w40 semi-synth when i gave them my reg no., which i don't think is the VW505.01 spec?...Thanks.

Hello all. Where can i find my engine code? Apparently its on the sticker in the rear jack storage, but the numbers on that i don't think relate to the engine code. I'v been informed its either a AHU or AFN. I need the bracket that the tensioner arm goes through, and i'v found one on an engine who's code is AHU...or, do you think the bracket would be different on these two engines? Thanks.

Hello there. (galaxy tdi 1.9 v-reg) I'm after the name of the shaft that runs behind the alternator (it may be part of the alternator bracket? but i'm not sure, its hard to tell). If you were looking down on it, the shaft has a tension-er on the right hand side (which is on the right hand side of the alternator), and the left hand side has a pulley bolted to the shaft (which is on the left hand side of the alternator-but underneath). This shaft has worn, making the belt squeak all time. My garage has informed me that this was a common problem with these vehicles, would anyone here know if thats the case? (i hope i'v sort of made it clear on what i'm after). Regards-Ben.

Zetec v reg, 1.9d. Hello. There is a button on dash next to heated window/s switches. It has a picture of a car with wavey heated lines coming up from the middle. Is this heated seats? Many thanks.
