The service may only be a normal one...sounds like you need a major service i think. I guess its the same all over, you get some good uns and some bad uns.A lot of us, myself included have had probs with fords diagnoseing/fixing problems. It doesnt matter what any of us think or recommend as to where you go/dont go for your service..as at the end of the day the car is yours and the decision is yours..If you think its a good deal and want to go there for your service then go for it....but make sure you know exactly what they service when they do. we do have a section where peeps can recommend places that have given good service..or ones to avoid like the plague...but ultimately the decision is yours as to where you go.

Ahhh..that happens alot. Shop around for the best deal...and avoid Fords like the plague..unless you want it back with summit broken.

I very much doubt it would be included in a service..But i serviced my own gal in the year before she went..so i honestly dont know.

your lucky..docs here wont put anything on prescription as it is so rife here. My kids can be clear..go to school or out to play..check their hair and they are crawling with live adults!!..it beggers belief that some parents dont check their kids hair or treat their kids.ive used Hedrin as it is very effective..but my kids were coming home nearly everyday with more after they were clear in the morning..it was costing me a fortune so i turned to useing conditioner which seems to work just aswell.

should be every year or 10k miles whichever is soonest.

WElcome....me thinks your Gal is a wee bit overdue a service :o You have a MKI galaxy..pre facelift model...easiest way to tell is look at thr fromt frill..just a ford badge..=MKII....Ford badge with bar either side=MKI. Facelift was from late 2000 i believe.

they might have a better NCAP rating..but their sevice is crap!

Have you ever used Hedrin i think it is??A newish one on the market that has the consistancy of oil..that is pretty good aswell as odourless which is an added bonus....but depending where you buy it..it can be pretty expensive.

I personally would never use a booster seat in the front that has an airbag.it is dangerous as there was an incident a few years ago in America where a childs neck was snapped as he was sat in a booster seat in the front when the airbag went off. I cant imagine any car manual saying its ok..just push the seat back???!! IIRC..doesnt a child have to be a certain height/age to sit in the front..unless there is no where else for it to sit???Since the laws changed not too long ago im not sure on this.

Head Lice Yup...i know this is a forum of big burly blokes with egos the size of america..but i want to talk head lice..now you may have to enlist the Mrs help here..and if she asks why..just say you are showing an interest in whatever crawls on your daughters head.If you dont want to enlist the Mrs help..then have a gander on the net so you know exactly what im talking about. Now..what i would like to know..is what treatment do you use in the home???and which do you think is the best. Reason i ask is because with having 3 of the little darlings, it is something that crops up every other week or so in this house. Usually i sit and comb conditioner through their hair then comb the suffocated little beggers out (Lice i mean). I have tried various different medications/lotions/creams etc for this but there are some on the market that i cannot use on my daughters hair because of hers and mines asthma. Most treatments are very expensive...and i do find it very effective to use the methods i use. Soo...c'mon peeps...its the school hols..the time to try and delouse the kids just in time to send em back to school for the whole cycle to begin again!!

Fraid i very rarely use cosmetics...aint got a clue how to use em.lol...

If i still had my gal..id have put on her:..electrified windows that will zap the kids everytime they put their sticky mitts on the windows .A soundproofed cabin with partition to block out the noise from the rear seats....lol

If you are not sure..i believe that you can cancel the claim????????..i guess you have to think about cost now..and cost if lose NCB for the future...

If i do this..all the MKIII posts in technical would have to be flagged in some way then moved across to the new sction...A lot of work involved going through the technical section looking for them!!. Appologies for going off topic by the way.

Will see what i can do..there is a call for it..i know we dont have that many MKIII owners..but if there was a section for them i think it would be easier for them more than anything.

I am sorry to hear of all the probs you are having with your MKIII....sounds like typical Ford as in they dont know whats wrong with the cars they build when they do go wrong!!..Im surprised they are still in business with their attitude...I may not like the MKIII..but i do think they need their own section on here...that way all the MKIII owners can see what sorta probs to expect/offer help etcc...as it is a different kettle of fish to the other MKs.

I will move the topic for you if it sets your mind at ease.. only one other i can think off....i really dont like the MKIII Galaxy...but im biased as i love the MKII. If when you first look at a car and your initial impression is that you dont like it..walk away from it..as the longer you look at it..the more you will convince yourself that you do.
