  1. No links to porn sites or other unsavoury sites pllease.....:o(no matter how much the lads might clamour for em! ) Yup..you answered your own question..lol By the way..what is in the pic in your avatar??..i cant quite make it out.
  2. Halifax ok then???
  3. when you pass your test, you have 2 years probation..get 6 points in that time and you will lose your licence and will have to reapply for a provisional and retake your test again...My two years is up in march...As far as i know it is irrespective of age.you can be 17 or 70 and still have 2 years from the date you passed.
  4. well i aint selling any of my points...cant afford to since im still on probation!Roll on the 10th March!!.woohoo!!. Anyway..i think doubling the points is a tad extreme..maybe increasing it by one point..but 3??!!...that would mean a newly qualified driver would lose his licence if he genuinely did not know who was driving the vehicle at the time...i think the rate of people who will lose their licence will go up. But you have to admit that quite a few peeps will use that clause to get out of a fine/points when caught speeding. I think..if a camera cannot prove who was driving, then it should be dropped/speed awareness course offered in lieu of points...but also i think that the vehicle owner should be responsable for any fines/points no matter who was speeding as it is his property and as such should ensure that whoever drives it should drive it responsably......
  5. p.p.s just remembered that when i did my course, the tutor said that even if a previous owner hands in receipts etc..the garage/dealer may throw all the receipts away as to them it is not needed as most garages will service a vehicle before it is sold if there is no service book...you can ask the garage this....see if they will service it as part of the deal.peace of mind?
  6. If you are satisfied that nothing dodgy is wrong with it, then i dont see what the problem is. If the dealer has just got the car in, the service book may follow if the previous owner couldnt find it/was spur of the moment jobbie. As for low milaege, depends what the car was used for..i see a few grannies round here tootling around in a galaxy or sharan, why they have one i have no idea. Just because low miles doent mean its dodgy..as you say, looks well cared for..is the engine fine?leaks?....ask the garage to throw in a warranty to be on the safe side. my answer..yes i would. As gregers pointed out...a lot of us did/do our own serviceing..when my gal went...it hadnt had the service book stamped since it was got in 2003.BUT..i did send all receipts for anything i had bought, i.e.MAF,oil filter etc....... As mk2vr6 pointed out, if it has been serviced by a main dealer..i.e. Fords, then they should be able to tell you, also if work was carried out for any other reason.

  13. No im not,far from it.There are models out there to suit all budgets, and the money i am saving by not smoking (ok as much), i am putting away and that will be used to fund my hobby.

  18. Gotta admit..yep..have a dirty mind..but that person is one heck of an artist!flippin brilliant.
  19. Ahh..thank you sk for that..much appreciated.Didnt know there were such things. :D
  20. Your welcome, if we know the fault codes from the diagnostic report, may be able to help you or explain what the problem is/was.
  21. hun, did ford give you a diagnostic report??..there are quite a few immobiliser probs that can occurr..the keys may have lost their programming and may need to be redone....bit drastic IIRC for the ECU to go nuts. if ford have the car..then yes it will be expensive..if you have the car then could be a few things to try..but if they already have the car..........be prepared for a very hefty bill..we dont have a lot of faith in ford fixing Galaxys ..well i most def dont.
  22. Welcome H, who told you the main ECU was at fault??Was a diagnostic done??if so what fault codes were thrown up?
  23. wheel balance weights???..what on earth are those???..never heard of them.....time for a google me thinks.
  24. then ask the garage...say to them that you believe the vehicle was subject to a recall and do they know if the work was done, if they dont can they please provide you with the details so that you can check or ask them to ring ford and check themselves.
  25. Dunno how you manage that......our two (15 & 17) won't do a blind thing. Got so mad on tuesday I wrote a big list of sarcastic instructions on the kitchen wall in indelible felt pen........guess who's going to have to redecorate now :-( ok so i reverted to drastic measures..locked all doors, windows and camped at the kitchen door so they couldnt get anything to eat..refused to do anything/give them pocket money untill they had done as i asked...Im a baddddd mummy.Needs must when your on your todd with a gaggle of kids.LOL.
