  1. Where did you find out it all?
  2. Yep time of year when peeps will realise they either do or dont work..i know the one on the gal i had never worked.oops!..bugger eh..
  3. Start running BK!!!!!..I most def do not need a dating link! :angry2: By the way..thanks for the explanation on the BTL thing...
  4. did it say for which car??
  5. ok, please excuse my stupidity..not quite awake..what does BTL mean??.. there is a shortage of council homes because so many people have had their homes repossessed hence needing council help plus they have to home those who decide to come live here and yes they do get priority over someone like me who will be homeless at the end of the week!..but..alas,,,being homeless is not a priority so i have been told..5 bloody years i have told it will take to rehouse me by the local council!!!!!!!!!..unless i am stood on the street with all my kids and crap.which will happen..even then i will be dumped into a hostel till they can find me a home. everything has a knock on effect,,i am finding out the flippin hard way just how things stand with the council.Rent private you say???..a lot wont consider me as i have a trust deed (also known as an IVA) which is being closed but untill then i cant even open my own bank account or rent privately unless it was some bod charging the earth..believe me..ive flippin tried...landlords can pick and choose who they want in their houses because so many people need them In my head....more AFFORDABLE housing needs to be built for those trying to get on the housing market..or those through no fault of theirt own are homeless. And when i say affordable..i mean houses less than 80k for a 3 bed..im sure it can be done!!..but..im pretty sure with the forces increasing their rents bty 300 quid a month from april next year will mean an influx of ex service accomodation as it would be cheaper to rent private!!if you see an ex forces come up for grabs..think twice before buying as the mod have not exactly had the money to repair or modernise them all..most are substandard and you wouldnt leave a dog in em. soo..in answer to original question.. Yes more housing needs to be built..but primarily for those on low income who cant afford to get on the housing market or if they do lose their homes after a while..Housing prices are way too high...In Lyneham a 2 bed went for 126k!!..(mate bought it)..that is just plain stoopid. These new houses must be built and the prices capped and you must be on low income to get them..i.e..maybe proove that you are on low income??..so no unscupy landlords can snap em up to rent em out. House prices must fall...as if they dont then the burdens on the councils and housing associations, shelter and all the relevant agencies that deal with the homeless will increase tenfold.Knock on effect is poverty..More people in poverty= more crime committed.those in high priced houses may just be keeping afloat to the fact that they work to survive not live....
  6. from what your initial link suggests SK, most of the high street banks have dipped into that emergency fund..just northern seems to have been highlighted with the worst problems..plus there was something about lloyds tsb on another link i was reading the other day..will try and find it again.
  7. SSShhhh!!!...don't tell them that!!..there will be an influx of applications if they did take the kids!... Where can i get an application form??  From what i am led to believe..this downslide started in the states and its having a knock on affect over here because the banks here invest over there, and the good old citizens of the US OF A have a lot more bad debt than we do, they are defaulting..hence the slide.
  8. Is it still not back up?..This place went down the other day as did all others. No idea what happened.
  9. But what will happen if its customers keep withdrawing/moving their money from them to other banks?..it wont be able to sustain itself as if you click on one of the other links to do with northern , some are withdrawing as much as 100k.
  10. ok... naked_lady.bmp
  11. Calm down Maz....don't let the young whippersnapper get you down. Youve probably got knickers older than him.... :o Bugger..you quoted me....I have deleted my post and appologise for it. By the way...who says i wear em. :o
  12. Now you can hold on a minute...not once have i had a go at you..nor was i having a go at your post..an exclamation mark is not used to have a go at anyone....you have misread..and well and truely annoyed me now coz believe me if i was going to have a go at you, you would damn well know it!
  13. And your point is??..
  14. You what??!!..over an exclamation mark??!! i used the exclamation mark to emphasise that i thought billions was a lot of money..it doesnt mean malice or anything of the sort.. what does an exclamation mark actually mean... A punctuation mark (!) used after a sentence that expresses a strong emotion. It draws attention to something the writer finds surprising is used, in place of a full stop, to indicate emphasis or strong emotion The punctuation mark (!), used to indicate an exclamation.
  15. A snippet from the link SK provided if you had cared to read it... Yesterday banking giants drained a
  16. Gio..i aint getting into another argument with you again..if you care to search the net you can quite easily find the information yourself.
  17. since the banks have borrowed billions from the bank of england in the past few days..then 1 percent is a hell of a lot of money!!..
  18. Hun you have all my sympathies...Hope it all turns out ok for you in the end.
  19. Umm..i hate to say this hun..but why didnt you research them first??..they will mark up your Galaxy a great deal by a couple of thousand at least. Plus they may apply for a new V5 which will take a couple of weeks to come through to them Any joy with trading standards?????? How long have you had the car for??
  20. It is at a higher rate gio.Alot of the banks were borrowing from the bank of england rather than from each other! .
  21. Hve you spoken to the garage yet Jk?
  22. Now i am a petrol head i must agree with you as the miles i cover usually costs me a heck of a lot more and i fill up a lot more....i dont drive far as much as i used to because of this so hence plan my routes a lot more carefully .My next car will most definately be a diesel. It may be higher in price but i will save more in the long run. appologies for sending the thread off track a few days ago..went a bit doolally.
  23. House prices going stupidly high affect everyone including those that dont own their own house..those seeking council accomodation like myself who will be classed as homeless in 6 days are looking at a minimum of a 5 year wait as there are soo many people needing rehousing after loseing their homes.I have been told by one council that being homeless does not make you a priority untill you are actually stood in the street with no where to go.This is because councils themselves have a shortage of houses. House price increases have far outstripped wage increases which shouldnt be allowed to happen. This inturn means that people are borrowing so much that they are over stretching themselves as finances always look better on paper than they do in reality!! the way i see it...house prices rocketed...lending rocketed..bad debt ensued as the people getting mortgages couldnt cope with the already overstretched repayments that would keep increasing..result= loss of home then the banks lose money. Plus in todays market a lot of people live on credit then when things go boom like they envarably do..everyone loses money..hence what is happening now...is bound to happen sooner or later unfortunately. The amount of people declaring themselves bankrupt has risen so has the amount of people who have trust deeds or IVAs..this also means credit companies and banks lose even more money. Doesnt look good at all.
  24. reject the car as not fit for purpose....if it was a straight swap then i cant see any problem..down to the garage i guess. You could ask them politely and see what happens..if they decline then go further. mikeohope i think has a lot of knowledge on things like this..might be worth pm/emailing him.He advised gregers and he does know his stuff.
  25. Did you check the heat shields??check to see if the exhaust moved whilst car is revved??..did you check the bolts that hold the exhaust on??..did you check everything else was secure under the car??..does it sound the same on both sides or louder stood at one side??..have you checked the spare wheel??the winch??
