  1. MrC, def loose belt. I must admit im a bit shaken at the mo, but thought id better warn those that have the same problem as me.Get the belt sorted ASAP. Ive not long got in after leaving a very long skid going from one side of the road to the other with a few wiggles in it where ive been trying to correct but over correceting as my powere steering kept going on off on off etc.... so when i was useing a lot of force to correct thinking it had gone, i ended up all over the road. I feel lucky that only a few seconds later cars came from the other way as i was on an angle on the wrong side of the road.Anything coming and i would of hit at the time it happened. I was following JB80 when it happened, he turned around and came back. He tightened the belt up with spanners etc on the side of the road. Result is the juddering has gone, but i still drove at a snails pace round corneers just in case. Tomnorrow, one belt will be bought. Mr C, tighten yer belt hun. I dread t think what would of happened if i had of hit cars coming the other way when it went, i was doing 55mph and i had all the kids in the back.Pity i didnt have my camera, quite an impressive skidmark on the road, and you can see where it all went wrong, where i over corrected, and where i ended up. shit, i need a bloody stiff drink. tell yer what, the stench of burning rubber , the smoke from the wheels, it was awful. And the roads werent wet either.
  2. if its the one im thinking of, then it really is remarkable, Is it the one that shows you exactly what has been built/going to be built in a very short space of time?? If it is, just goes to show what can be acheived.
  3. yeah, like their queuing up at the door. The 4 kids tends to put em all off . LOL
  4. true, i know that, but mine also judders in the dry, its like having a stilted steering wheel.
  5. Havent done it yet, raining here at the mo, and the guy who is gonna help has been a bit busy. But likewise, in the wet today, it is worse, so has to be the belt.If it stops raining , will try and get it done and let you know.
  6. Sleep? whats that?? i wish, sleep eludes me these days. Its like a game of hide and seek, i just aint found it yet though. Kids are well in bed, all tucked up and snoring soundly.Bless em. Horlicks?? nah, just had a nice juicy bacon roll and now supping a bed time beer..cant beat it. :o
  7. Never heard of red eye, but unlike mary who has a fetish for clingfilm wrapped toes, drink and eye infections, my red eyes are due to lack of sleep :o

  9. Buggeration, i told him to keep that pic to himself!! you cheeky little swine!! As a matter o fact, they aint reached me knees yet, waist maybe, but not me knees......gives me summit to play with when im sat down.LMAO
  10. OOps sorry, i shall warn myself. ;) an electric pump? what for?
  11. in some models it was changed to every 40 thousand, depended upon your year, when i went into fords the other day, i queried length of time between changes, i was told for all models, all years it is now every 40 thousand.Whether that is true or not, i have no idea as this is fords we are talking about.
  12. Not that clever ;) services are due every 10 thousand miles or every year, whichever is closest. Major services are due every now and then when all filters should be done, pollen, oil and fuel. Sometimes sevice light indicators are not reset by a garage, but there is a procedure to reset it yourself in the FAQ section. Put in your sig that it is a MKII galaxy ghia X reg 2000 reg.Otherwise some peeps might think it is a late MKI. Cam belt is done every 40 thousand miles.IIRC. You have one of the very early MKIIs.
  13. I think she might object to a tyre iron placed there hun ;)
  14. well, if you had the lady in mk2s sig, then just slip yer hands inbetween the bouncing orbs and the friction will soon get all that mud off.LOL.
  15. I have a feeling mk2, that any thread you post in, is gonna get some serious hits!! :o ;) Audiman, I'm a hoarder, you just never know when something might come in use. :D

  17. unless.....they picked it up, 5 miles from home, the turbo went, engine packed in, and are now waiting for the RAC to tow em home :)
  18. *waiting with baited breath for the first reports and piccies** c'mon man..where the devil are yeeeeeeeee..!!!!!!
  19. mm..very true, id already taken a seat out so only 4 in the back instead of 5. So what else could be taken out/off /modified to help save fuel?
  20. Now thats cheating. I have a toolbox full of all sorts of odd things plus the usual stuff, ive got ends of knives, ends of steels, spoons, knives, odd screws and bolts, a couple of spare wheel nuts, string, rope, a palette knife, a pair of tights, (...nooo not to wear, and nor have been worn but might come in use for the bank raid im planning), various sized cable ties, some laggy bands, plus other odds and sods.LOL
  21. Ok, cant remember if its been done before, and im too pushed for time to search. What should we all carry in our toolbox/ car and why. 1. A length of rope....... To tie the kids to the roof rails when they wont shut up/too noisy etccc.. :)
  22. Can i ask why your selling it? Upgrade?
  23. the trainee guidelines, and remember that you can post in the trainee section till you have made a few posts. this will stop thread hijacking and the endless questions of why cant i view, or why cant i start my own topic etc...
