Oh really, and how many times have you posted crap mid topic? had a go at someone? Ive totally lost count of the times you have, I may post crap, drivel that is totally pointless, irrelevant, has no place in the thread..but so do you, and others....Nowt wrong with banter, but having a go at someone, being aggressive, being an ass is worse than posting mindless , brain numbing, crap. there is a report button there you know.... you dont like a post, report it, it will be looked at, and either ignored, removed, edited or laughed it. We all have off days, bad days, crap days, good days, and sometimes that comes across in how we post, where we post and who really gets up our nose on that particular day. It aint dead in here,,,,maybe cars are running ok, maybe people are trying to have a life and dont live on here, and just maybe, these other forums your on about, have a bigger member base, a wider cachment, and are full of pimple spotted skinny arsed geeks. This forum is here to help people who just need to save a few quid coz we dont buy people carriers to go out cruising the streets looking for a bit o ass to take in the back and rock the wheels so to speak. WE have em coz we are daft enough to have more than the average 2.4 kids and need a bigger car to ferry the money munchers around. so. maybe, just maybe....there aint a lot going wrong at the mo. or there are probs posted no one can help with. so pack in blaming the mods/admin for crap posted as we all do our fair share of crap posting.Its what makes the flaming www go round.If no crap posters, then no narky arsed pip squeaks to moan about em, then a forum becomes pretty damn boring.

well....what interesting posts. there are a lot of DIYers on here, me included, i was forever sorting my old gal out. and i would work on my vectra aswell, ive worked on this gal and there is yet more work to be done on it. being a single mum and driving 230 miles a week to get the kids to and from school i have to keep my car on the road. i cant afford garage prices, so i will source parts from members on here or from a scrappies. the milaege i do each week is worth it...as now my daughter is getting the help she needs so please, no.."its your choice to drive that much doing school runs crap" ive still got a door card to fix, a wing mirror to fix, an oil change to do, a bumper to replace, steering to sort out, and a few other bits. besides, since the majority of members on this forum are men, and usually its the mrs that drives the kids around on a day to day basis, then im assumeing the lads on here may be scared of upsetting mrs if they work on said car, it goes wrong, car off road and mrs and kids have to walk the mile or so to school! very uncalled for comment..but i really am not in a very good mood.... but the school my kids go to..some of the mums there, come out the driveway 3 houses down from the school, drop kids off after checking to make sure make up/clobber is correctly aligned then drive the few yards back home again.. its bloody ludicrous! come sept, my eldest will be walking about 3 miles a day thereabouts to get to school and back.i could drop her off.....but the walk will do her good. allllllllllllllllllllllllllsssssssssssssssssssssssooooooooooooo..we have a lot of lurkers, who get the info they want, do the work, then post that they have done it. yeah, some cant be arsed, wait till it gets to sell the kids, house and ass then come on here and moan.But thats life, cost of everything is going up..the wait and see is purely because they may not have the few quid needed to fix at that point, and by the time it gets to blown up/screeched to a halt/ stopped/wont work after a few months of various faults then it costs the earth and people lose the will to live and get rid of said car. We know codes are available to get on the net/EBAY ( slight hint there) but on this forum, we dont do it...but as i said...what is done via pm stays via pm and is not on open forum.what the eyes dont see..etc....

my 96 doesnt have an alarm either me thinks.... open windows, lock doors...stick arm through windows, rock car, get the kids that are locked in car to try and escape...failing that, stick a sign on car saying no alarm, and wait and see if one goes off when the windows/doors get jimmied.

roight, when the steering wheel is turned its like a judder, its not a smooth action. even when car is stationary and you turn the wheel, its not a smooth action.looking at the wheels when you turn the wheel, they arent turning smoothly. sooooooooooo..i checked the power steering fluid, that is fine, everything ive checked is fine.... soooooooooo the only other thing i can think of is the rack and or pump. thanks hun :lol:

the dipstick is bone dry...more fool me for not checking it the past couple of weeks. ooo.ang on..just read the back..it says suitable for diesel and petrol engines., its castrol gtx high mileage 15w-40. right, off to give the old gal some of the stuff.
