  1. umm...why are you selling a 4 month old car?? also, is it HP clear?
  2. your welcome.... :13: ahh.. jacked up in the wrong place eh.... no surprise there!! my previous post was short as i was cooking for the vultures.
  3. vaseline is good aswell around the engine :13: for some parts i might add.
  4. auxhillary booster heater. have a search, thousands of posts on it.
  5. Ok, had a talk with a friend...what come back do you have,, if i remember it right, you could always use the parkers used car price guide, see how much a Ghia for that year and all toys is, then see how much a Ghia X is, If say, a Ghia Is around 2k for what you got, and a ghia X is 3k and say you paid 3k.... you could go back to the seller and explain the car was misrepresented, and you paid for a car which isnt as described, i.e. a lower spec model when you believed it was a higher spec model and paid accordingly. you could, if the seller refuses to refund the 1k difference, take him to court for the difference. Now..the figures i used are off the top of my head and hyperthetical. Hope that i make sense, but you do have some come back in this. As you paid for a Ghia X and NOT A ghia. Its worth a shot. Go back to the seller...see what they say. But use a guide price site, like parkers.
  6. well...if you aint happy with it not having an X.... isnt the ghia one up from Ghia X?? the Ghia is a top model. If you are overall happy with the vehicle...why worry over it?? what do you mean by electric seats anyway?? and i thought heated rfont seats were options on some models.. how long have you had the vehicle?? How much did you pay for it? And to be honest, some ford technicians dont know their arse from their elbow when it comes to galaxys. why do you think you can get a diagnoses on here quicker and for free than at a ford garage??
  7. yee gads!! the flaming ponds out the back are going to overflow very soon if this rain keeps up!! Just had a look, and they are up to the edge.
  8. Thanks for the advice peeps, the techy did wire brush where the rust was. Tomoz, i shall re arm and fire at autoglass, i shall also get a second opinion as to why the screen cracked like it has. Will it matter that ive changed insurance company since the screen was fitted?
  9. Gawd... could that rust, be the cause of the glass cracking though?? Flash my pretty eyes... heck..thats a tall order!!
  10. here is my original thread, you can see the rust at the top. http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...c=16065&hl=
  11. ive already had it looked it, there is no stone chip.. there were no vehicles passing me when it happened, its a clean crack so to speak ( no mucky comments please  ) As i popped into a garage on the way home wanting their opinion on why it would just crack. it goes up to the seal and looks like it goes under the seal. It was Autoglass that fitted the screen IIRC Ive already battled with them once on the phone over this.. my excess is 75 quid. It is written on my receipt that if the screen cracks because of pre existing rust, then they will not replace the screen under the warrenty.
  12. This appeared today whilst i was driving. It wasnt hit by anything, there is no raised edge on the inside or outside, it goes all the way to the top as far to the seal, Now, ive already rung the peeps up that fitted the screen in april, they claim its not their fault the window is cracked and wont replace it. When the screen was replaced, it was found that the screen they removed had not been fitted peoperly and there was rust around where the screen goes. they told me that if the screen cracked because of rust, it wouldnt be covered by their warrenty. i believe there is water under the top of the screen, but i cant be sure as its been peeing it down all day, and it was raining when it happened. So guys, i need your help, why would a screen crack like that in just under 5 months.

  18. heck.... i think..... maybe keep the kids off school just in case?? least id have no one chaseing me for money if it all goes bang
  19. well, if its a Ghia X which it sounds like with the badges on it..then you bought what was advertised  good luck with the motor
  20. they didnt sell me bits that i didnt need, im erring on the side of caution and replacing all the bits, even the two bits still there as they are rusted to buggery.. rather be safe than sorry. since i dont have remote locking.... the fob bit is of no use to me at all :D Me...i'm a spendthrift, have to be with 4 vultures to bring up and feed
  21. ahhh... never hurts to ask for a discount whilst smiling and ordering other stuff at the same time.. keeps em sweet and they want my custom.lol Plus i happened to mention this place and the problems a lot of us have with ford.
  22. No, didnt have to show log book or bill as the guy said that since id already been in a few times ordering various parts and asking them to whip the car in the air that it must be mine.lol Plus they have my details on their system. Plates were cheap as i was cheeky and asked for a discount  The plates are advertised at from 12.99 at the Ford garage here. they are also offering a service to replace the battery in yer keyfob and recode for 12.99. So far..im quite impressed with this ford garage.
  23. well, least he didnt brim it with the wrong fuel like one bod on here did... cost him around 70 odd quid to have it drained etc..
  24. Sorry, couldnt find the power cable for my scanner, so i took a pic of the diagram which shows all 4 pieces,.. dont forget this diagram is for models 1994 to 2000. In the pic in post 18, you can see the hex nut is on the threaded bit in the middle, may aswell replace it as it only cost 43p.
  25. will do, as the guy gave me a printout of the whole handbrake system, i will set up my scanner and scan it in. just gimmee an hour as the vultures are wanting feeding.
