There seems to be a lot of MK3 owners missing various manuals. I am led to believe that this is ford europe's official download site. User Manuals Also covers other Ford models.

I thought it was just a case of entering the pin number on the phone ( probably 0000 ) when it has found the radio.

Of course I was going to say "lying on her back" but decided not to.

I've seen their advert... Its just a cheap little resistor that fools the ECU into thinking its cold and it adds more fuel hence giving more power. Works just long enough for you to leave feedback for the seller saying all is ok. In reality it will cost you fuel, bollox your CAT and possible burn the crap out of your pistons.

You sounded a bit worried there BJ ?

just thought I would correct that for you Pet..

Amazon---@ 2500kg.....how many mpg  Pageant---@ 1400kg.......very,very nice caravan...look it up. Train weight---@ 3900kg....... I assume you passed your test before 1997 :D
-
To simplify this for any normal vehicle. 2030kg...maximum total vehicle weight of the car....if you exceed this you are overloading the suspension/steering/engine...take your pick..... The kerb weight...( normally laden vehicle ) is normally around 300-350kg less than this. 3630kg....maximum permitted train weight...vehicle + trailer.... From this you can determine the maximum towing weight of the vehicle to be 1600kg. The maximum permissible fully laden weight of the trailer should be on a plate ( I know 1400kg was mentioned). The actual empty weight of the trailer will be considerably less than this. If you exceed this you can be done by the cops....no excuses. This figure should also clearly in your vehicle manual....if you have one. All this assumes that you trailer has brakes....if not then it can't be more than 750kg. An exception to this is if you are towing a trailer to a point of safety, eg if the trailer brakes fail you are allowed to move it to somewhere sensible. However if you passed your test after 1997 things get complicated. If the trailer exceeds 750kg (fully laden) then the train weight cannot be more than 3500kg and the trailer must not exceed either the maximum trailer weight or the kerb weight of the car.....you will have to find the kerb weight of the car. I think for the Volvo mentioned the kerb weight is around 1650kg and therefore you could tow a 1600kg trailer, however if you fully loaded the volvo up to its maximum 2030kg then you would have exceeded the train weight....throw some passengers out.

That's ok Pet.....nothing that a big wet kiss wont cure. At the end of the day its not that bad, no one died ! Well not yet anyway...

It would certainly help, financially it shouldn't be too bad, just the hassle of getting another job, plenty out there. However it just knackers the idea of moving till I get one. In the light of the current sub-prime mortgage fiasco I somehow don't think they will offer me one unless I am in employment. This means I have to get a job pretty damn quick before my buyers start knocking on the door and I have to explain that the house sale has gone tyts up. Also means I can't make a higher offer on the house we fancy either. Hopefully I will get one ( seen a few already ) and this will be no more than a hiccup in procedings. Obviously the wife has offered her usual full support and understanding.....not once did she blame me for anything.....several dozen times....but never once....you know what the're like.
-
So we had an offer on our house which we were happy with and accepted...full asking price...cash buyer...yippee de doo dah.. ;) Then we looked about for another house...... Something cheap and accommodating near Gainsborough.... Could be in trouble for that comment...never mind. Anyhow we found one we really liked and this morning put an offer in :D So I am on the phone to the estate agent and I can hear my works mobile ringing in my pocket...I quickly finish the call and tell them my offer....and then answer my mobile. Its my boss....contracts gone belly up and you finish next week.. Laugh.....not quite !! If there is a God he ( more likely she ! ) is an evil *******

Software Causing Power Steering Problem
big_kev replied to Johnny B Goode's topic in MKIII Technical section
I am not impressed with the thought of my cars brakes (ABS) being controlled by some dumb computer. Now it appears that a cars steering can be controlled by one as well..... Were all going to die.. -
Some Slight Problems
big_kev replied to the_borg's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
The first thing I would do is to connect vagcom up again and Clear the Fault codes as they are intermittent and may be from previous issues where things were connected disconnected. See if they re-occur and if they do post them back up here. -

Anyone Used K-seal?
big_kev replied to fedupwithjunk's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Most of the reports I have seen on this say it is good as a short term measure. Use it and either look around for another cylinder head...there should be loads of these available from scrappies or ebay . Or use it and sell the car quick...... :angry2: -
