  3. You way out in the sticks then ? We would need to see the photographic evidence.............
  4. You will find that these are water pipes for the hot water from the engine to get to the rear heater.
  5. Yes they do.....its called walking.... God in my day I used to walk miles to school..... Do you good as well you could lose a few pounds, Pet......did I say that out loud then ?
  6. If your not doing any high performance racing then the only difference is the price. 90% of vehicles randomly tested have incorrectly inflated tyres. Nearly all blowouts ( 80% + )are caused by incorrectly inflated tyres. The rest are nearly all suspected damaged ( including beyond bald !). Its a fair bet if your tyres go it has little to do with the tyre quality and more to do with poor driving and maintenance. Its a con the same as "premium" fuel. Others may differ from my opinion ( and probably will).
  7. It should peak at about
  8. Sort of... but its not that simple. The big boys were investing in Property and this drove the price up in order to gaurentee their profits. When the property market stuttered, they panicked and withdrew their money. The idea then went around to invest it in commodities, Oil is a popular one. This is now driving the price up to increase the profit to the investers. There is no lack of oil production ( yet ! ) it is steadily increasing. The producers are just charging more for it.
  9. I bow to your superior intellect....http://gregers.7.forumer.com/images/smiles/gregers/BowingSmiley.gif
  10. The relay is cheap and simple enough to replace....if its not knackered it probably on the way out anyway.
  11. Name & Shame them....so we can all avoid them.
  12. Here's a challenging one then . What's the next row of numbers in this series? 1 11 21 1211 111221 312211 13112221
  13. Yeh ! After you read every one else's answers.. Here's one for you... What English word retains the same pronunciation, even after you take away four of its five letters?
  14. The only effect of the ABS light coming on is that your ABS may longer work. Hence the orange light. This is not a serious problem as your ordinary braking system will still work exactly the same as it used to do in the good old days before ABS. If your Red light comes on this indicates a potentially serious problem with your ordinary braking system and you should stop the car at immediately (if you can ! ). It is however an MOT failure for the ABS not to work although not in itself dangerous. If it was you would have to ban every car on the road that didn't have ABS. Similar to a seat belt not working properly and yet there are old cars on the road made before seat belts came out where it is perfectly acceptable not to have any. As you can tell I am not a fan of ABS..
  15. Much as it goes against my principles to help two-wheeled psychopaths Bikers. I thought I might issue the following for the forthcoming bank-holiday weekend. The plods are out on the Ivanhoe Road again...assuming nice weather obviously.
  16. Glad to help... :P Just don't blame me if you get copped using it whilst driving ... :P
  17. Don't see why not...there's not much to it with diesels.
  18. Try here... LINK
  19. Give it a try next Friday evening south on the M5.....should be quiet. :P
  20. Looks a bargain at that price. For all you drivers out there without cruise control... Get it fitted...saves a fortune in avoiding speed cameras. Makes long journeys so much nicer....I wouldn't buy a car without it.
  21. I do my best to help...... :angry2:
  22. Are you using ( via your phone ) Options/ New paired devices ? Also does the radio already have 6 previous phones paired to it. If so you will have to delete at least one of them. And another daft question....you do have the manuals for both the phone and the radio ?
  23. Hi Leafs, Welcome to the forum, congrats on the twins.... :angry2:
  24. " Hi all thanks for that I have put caravan up for sale, need a smaller one, do we know what is the max allowable tow limit as this will be very useful for new purchace. " Look at the plate on your vehicle....it will give the maximum vehicle weight and the gross train weight. The maximum towing weight is the difference between them. This is what the cops will look at first if you get stopped. My mk1 90bhp Tdi is 1530kg. "also is it worth chipping up my gal " NO "will the auto box be under too mush strain" Should be ok....if you don't exceed maximum towing limit.
  25. I think you should open it up and post a pic so we can all "gaze in awe" at the marvelous technology used inside... :angry2:
