  13. If you are mechanically minded you can change the heater yourself ...all the fixings should no longer be rusted up and should be removed easily. Alternatively you could disconnect the booster heater...you won't miss it. I certainly would not use the same garage again....they definitely ripped you off at that price. Who were they....so we can all avoid using them.
  14. If the battery keeps going flat check if there is anything drawing current when the ignition is switched off....there will always be a little current drawn...clock...alarm system etc. A cheapo multimeter should suffice for this. If there is no unexpected current being drawn then assuming that the battery is charging ok from your overnight charger then it may be the alternator ( or associated charging system ) that is at fault.
  15. Do you want fries with that ?
  16. The link to the FAQ ( items 7 and 10 ) will show you how to..... Program a remote key to operate the central locking remotely....easy peasy. Allow you to program a key to work the ignition....you must already have 2 working keys to allow you to do this. If you do not have 2 working keys then you will need either a dealer or similar to program an ignition key for you......alternatively it is possible to do this with a registered version of VagCom or similar.
  17. I knew someone out there had one of these....do you use it ?
  18. Sorry I meant does it not have the engine code on the bottom of the VIN plate ( not the actual VIN number )
