  1. At least you had the good sense to move.........get away from the weirdo's
  2. I forgot about that.....I will do a search and resurrect it again
  3. Because I am correct ?
  4. The wiper linkage is a VW part and as such is the same on Galaxys , Sharans and Alhambras. However there are at least 2 different types which can be distinguished by the mounting holes ( 3 or 4 ). I can't remember whether there may also be a difference between the Mk1 and Mk2's. If it physically looks the same then it should certainly fit. This part is a very common fail and as such is difficult to get hold of at a reasonable price.
  5. You need to get out more mate
  6. Thats not the point.......well OK maybe it is.. :o
  7. a:) yes it is.......its a diesel :o b:) Yes there is.....its a Toyota :o
  8. Its a Toyota........could be any part of the vehicle falling apart.. :o
  9. I can't believe anyone is daft enough to believe that .... :o
  10. were about are the switches you are refaring to. Above the brake and clutch pedals, blue or black plastic things.
  11. Bit of a clue there then :angry2: However for further info. on this "snake oil" http://www.americantechnology.co.uk/
  12. It might be worth checking your resistor pack to see if its just the solder burnt off the connections rather than a failed resistor. If so this can easily be repaired.
  13. Nah ! However I will investigate this futher in case I am mistaken. (again.....! )
  14. No it doesn't...even simpler.
  15. It has a chain which should last the lifetime of the car. Certainly 100,000m + probably twice that.
  16. As the drying operation works by the temperature control being set to cold (colder than the cabin air temperature) and the air is diverted past the evaporator and the water vapour is condensed out of the air onto the cold evaporater. Please explain how this works when the temperature control is set to hot (hotter than the cabin temperature) and the air is no longer hitting the evaporater but is diverted past the heater matrix instead. In your own time !
  17. Don't know about the Mk2 but with the mk1 you just open the glovebox and tug very hard.
  18. You guys are aware that the drying effect only happens when the aircon is blowing out very cold air. It doesn't work when the heater is on.
  19. Test your steering with the vehicle stationery ( but with engine running ). Gravel or grass is best as it places less load on the system. See how much free play there is ( if any ) between moving the steering wheel and the front wheels turning. If there is none ( or very little ) then the problem is with the tyres and/or suspension.
  20. You wouldn't say that if you'd been running ME2 ( vista ) for a year.
  21. Windows 7 Professional.....installed and apparently working ! So much better than Vista . Not bad for
  22. Use a diagnostic tool ( vagcom or similar ). Lets the car tell you whats wrong with itself. Well worth the money.....check various posts...ebay....www.ross-tech.com etc
  23. Different gear box maybe .....( or are you just getting older )
