I think its most possible something basic like wheel bearing which do show there problems when turn as the cage is not holding the bearing other basic check your powersteering fluid. Other basic check Track rod bearing's etc.. In the extreme it might be time to " Install a new power assisted steering low pressure pipe assembly which damps out the vibration caused by pressure fluctuations in the PAS system." quote from bba-reman.com personally id live with the sound unless you think the wheels will fall off :)

hi rob please state model mk1,2,3 etc auto/manual does the car start for 3 secounds and die have you dropped your keys and lost damaged the chip door flashing most probably is the pats key checker the easy way is if you have access to a fault checker obd2

probably a dirty abs sensor on one of youre wheels suggest you by a 14 quid lead fom flea bay pc to car and get vag software it will tell you which whelel will tel more tomorrow when havebt drunk too much golly gear :rolleyes:

update took key locksmith they tested pats chip signal ok said if i wanted clone key its

good afternoon all the car has been a dream and still is however to start it i have todisconnect the battery leave the key in and reconnect the battery after a couple of mins she starts :D and drives no problem . dash service milometer shows as zero now i stop turn ignition off :wacko: restart it i get it to start, for a few secound's it runs and dies :) dash says service ino2 any ideas the car is 2.8 vr6 1996 mk1
