Hi John That exactly what I did with mine. I used some old dynamo brushes (well brand new actually in their old box) and cut & filed them to shape- then I struggled to get the lid back on until I drilled the holoes and used two bits of tubular plastic I had. I have bought a second hand pump which needs the job doing so I might well do that one and post the pics. Well done!

Can't confirm the fault - but when mine went all that happened was that the warning light stayed on. Fitted the new clock spring and hey presto - cured!

Vista - the permanent lock in from Microsoft My mate just bought a copy of Vista - he is building a machine for his Girlfriend - He decided instead to remove the copy of XP Media centre from his machine and install it on the new build so as to have the Vista on his machine. When he installed - he couldn't activate. When he called MS they told him that the software is coded to the MB and that it is installed for life. So he now has to leave the MC software where it is and install the Vista on his new machine -. Remember he has the key codes for both sets ,both are genuine. When he spoke to MS they told him that's it - read your T's & C's. Basically if your machine catches fire and burns then having the CC and codes won't cut it. Pile of sh*te!!!

Lovely view - but your gate needs painting!!

Well it's been fairly windy down here in not so sunny Bournemouth - Mind you On Wednesday I was sitting in my office when I felt/heard a huge thud/bang - jumped up thinking the tree had finally fallen on my Gal but after a quick tour of the estate I couldn't see any damage. Then on the news they explained that the Army had just exploded a WWII bomb in Studland Bay - around 15miles as the crow flies! WOuldn't wanna be near one of them!!. Wind yesterday has taken the bins for a ride - I've lost 8 sheets of glass from the greenhouse but otherwise all OK. I went down the bottom of the road and I could've sworn the Isle of Wight had been blown closer in!!!

And heres us doing it for nothing!! When will we learn the value of a good car!!!

I still get an average 44mpg - the computer always says it is higher but measuring on fuel used then 44mpg is good. I have had a smuch as 660 miles before the fuel light comes on - but only twice - and then thats driving around 50 - 60mph with cruise on. I find that the MPG doesn't vary too much unless I hit a lot of traffic or do a lot of crawling on the M25 etc. Still damn good for 105K miles!! My Wife Gal still returns an average 40mpg as well with 135K on the clock. Maybe it's just driving style. On an even more positive note - Tesco's near me are doing Diesel at 87.9 litre - saves an average

Maz If the machine wasa bought from Tesco and you have the receipt then they should deal. Even if they don't have the XP sticker it doesn't matter. They sold it with the Operating system on it- somewhere they and or ACER will have the records of what XP key went with that machines serial number. Even if they say that the damage is due to physical abuse that's fine but you still need to know what the Key is and the Bios passwords. As Nik says under the SOGA the goods have to be in a merchantable condition and last for a reasonable period of time - in this case at least one year. If they say the damage is chargeable, fine but the rest of it should be under warranty. You can provide your own hardware but not without access to the numbers. So tell them you don't want any of the physical damage repaired but you do want the software keys etc provided. Give it a go. BUT BEAT UP TESCO - THEY SOLD IT!! Its up to them to fight with ACER

Obviously not posh enough! I would phone and get a lackey to come out of the house to move the bins for me!!! Mind you - I'm not driving a Merc or BMW!!

Yep I have exactly the same - it's the fule metering pump on the Aux Heater.

Me too!

Steve I too used to worry like you do - but I joined the "Vikings" and so now what we do is go to countries that all the men have left to go to England and we go raping and pillaging and burgling all their houses!! So whilst their here getting our benefits we're there getting theirs!!!! You know it makes sense!!! Give em the same treatment mate - Move to anyland!!!

Yes but we can race the Ferraris as you put it and the one I have keep up with them, and yes I have a class 1. So what have you got against the sprinter ? Jealous ! Radiotwo If I ever need to buy a large van it will definitley be a sprinter - but apart from the very small minority of properly trained drivers ,- most sprinter drivers - in my experience - drive them like they were GTi's forgetting the sheer physical size of the things!!. Yes they are great vehicles but vastly over powered. Just restrict them to max 70mph - that'll do for me.

There's a joke in here somewhere - but ... why don't you just wash your toolbox?
-
Well at the risk of upsetting some of you I am really pleased if this law is true. I am sick and tired of driving on the motorway and all of a sudden some dick head in a 3.5 tonne box van decides to change lane and try racing the ferraris around. If they can drive these things (and they can up to 7.5t GW ) then they should have passed a special test like a proper HGV. All they need to do now is sort out the Mercedes Sprinter flying boxes and I'd be ecstatic!!

My Gal went for the MOT today - Passed with Flying Colours - One advisory - Could test O/S rear seat belt as seat removed!!! Another year over.

Get well soon. Don't look in the jokes section and you should be OK. Hugs etc BJ

But strangely this clever site only counts the three posts as one!!

I thought this was the only thread he doesn't appear to have a new one every time he posts on the topic  - ps by gooners request I don't usually post here ;) Ooops I stand corrected - I see I am talking total bollocks (so should fit in perfectly) Sorry Gooner I apologise for being blind and premature. I still think football sucks. Anyone interested in Opera then?

Hmmm... we seem to be having a technical moment - What I was trying to say is that bad weather affects all local loop (cables from the exchange to your houses) regardless of your provider and when the weather is really bad faults have to be prioritised - so essentail services and Business customer get seen to first - so you may have a delay with repair times whilst the bad wether is here. Not a lot you can do.

As some of you may know I work for BT - I have had no problems with my Broadband but then I am on a business package so get faster attention. Surprisingly I agree with Cepheus - the bad weather causes problems with ALL NETWORKS ESPECIALLY THOSE
