  1. And the people who use the sister forum have no Galaxy, not even an un-official one. So your not alone, just keep taking the tablets.... :o :D :o
  2. Suspension and steering is the same I think.
  3. I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart. FOR EXAMPLE: One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were in bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually said "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me." I said "What was that?" So she said the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear... "You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?" Realising that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went onto the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, let's go to the checkout." I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it." Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled WHAT?" I then said "honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?" Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at least I am one up one her!
  4. It is a 115 so most likely a MK2. That is cheap for a full MK1 headlamp though. But beware, from other sources such as sel-imperial, the light does not have the motor fitted, you have to transfer it over or buy a more expensive one that does have the motor.
  5. I unplugged my MAF once to see the difference. It was shocking without it plugged in, I only went about 50 meters before I stopped and re-connected it. If your car is better without it then it must be a pretty good bet it is knackered.
  6. A service should at the least include: Evacuate system Drain Oil Fill system with nitrogen and do a pressure hold test Vacuum out system and do a vacuum hold test Refill with new PAG oil Fill with the correct weight of gas Sniff test for leaks and vent temperature test And I don't see how all that can be done correctly for
  7. When you need the right advice, where are you going to come! The trouble with batteries when they get old is they can show the correct voltage, but not be providing the amperage required. When that happens the only way to test is under full load. And the vast majority of workshops use a static load that is no where near a 600 amp pull when they test the battery.
  8. A "photochop" is an image that has been manipulated using a professional editing package such as Adobe Photoshop. It can be used to stick various parts together and re-colour and shade them convincingly. With a good Adobe Photoshop artist you will find it hard to tell where the joins are!
  9. What I fear is that they are trying to take some market share from the Zafira, which is not a MPV IMHO, just a big car. And it would also be IMHO a backward step. The Zafira is very small inside in comparison to a Galaxy.
  10. Don't forget the disconnected rear washer pipe after the first hard frost!
  11. LOL! You should be writing the manuals for Haynes!
  12. No, it simply means the non-working fob did not program. Why not practice programming with the fob that is know to work?
  13. It is the same pump as the booster heater, but the booster heater has it's own if needed (only the parking heater type does) and it is located by the booster heater unit.
  14. My Bammer is a van with seats in. Nothing smaller will replace it as long as something bigger or the same is available. Being able to take the whole family away for the day seated in comfort, then the following day remove the seats and put half a dozen double glazed windows and a couple of doors in the back is something that can not be replaced with what is basically a seven seat estate car.
  15. Did you not bid on it MO4?
  16. Did you see if the door LED flashed? Remote fobs do go dead sometimes. You should also note that if you successful program your fob you will need to do the second one straight after and before the door LED goes out, as programing clears the existing ones from memory.
  17. No, both fans will come on when the CC is on. It would prove the wiring to the fan was fine if it worked with the CC on.
  18. Do you have air-con/CC? If the air-con/CC is on do both the fans work?
  19. Nice to see you about though chap.
  20. lol, the reason for a copper headed hammer (you should be able to get one cheaper than that) is the copper is softer than the steel thread on the wiper linkage. So the copper will deform before the steel. It is just a way of limiting the damage to components when you hit them.....
  21. Although it is not a job I have done personally, I would suggest a copper based grease such as "Copperease" for the spindles. The reason for this is that even if the grease washes away the copper particles in the grease will remain and should still lubricate the metal. In addition to this, there should be a tube of copper grease in your toolbox along with you collection of assorted sized hammers.
  22. Sounds like nonsence to me, I have never heard of having to reset the ECU for a new AFM. Where abouts are you based? Some members have VAG-COM and may be able to help.
  23. Alton Towers uses "Where the fun never ends" as the strap-line in their adverts. So why does it shut at 7:30pm?
  24. Everyone has, they are warning boxes, 5 strikes and something happens, don't know what though....
