Changing The Rear Driver-side Brake Bulb
jkspoff replied to wardmw's topic in What thing irritate you about your Galaxy
Just use a bit of brute force ! It will pull through the gap. Fiddly but can be done without removing bracket. -
With kids they are really useful, as the piccy before shows, I very rearely use them, but good to have them for the odd rainy picnic occasion, I would certainly make sure that any future Gal or equivalent has them. The main problem I find is that when the drivers seat is turned around and the child locks are on the back doors, its awkward to get out ! The multimedia Gals don't have them for obvious reasons.

Front Wipers For A Galaxy Post 2001
jkspoff replied to shardwick's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Do you mean, putting the newer aerotwin blades on the older standard arms ? If so it can't be done. Unless the arms are replaced with the newer type. I have been looking around for some type of adaptor, but with no luck. Anyone shed any more light onto this ? -
Passenger Rear Electric Window Help!
jkspoff replied to norwichbluenose's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Have you checked the wiring between the door and frame inside the rubber tube cover, as these wires are prone to snapping/wearing out. Might seem a bit obvious, but that is what it turned out to be with mine, simple connector block sorted it. -
Faulty Entry/door Light
jkspoff replied to jkspoff's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Thanks for the advice, been out this afternoon and pulled back rubber cover, there it was, clean break through one wire for the door lighting. Repaired using a small block in seconds, aren't forums like this wonderful ! -

My nearside door/entry light has stopped working, I have tried the obvious bulb change, and tried swapping units from right to left, but no power to the unit at all. Anyone any ideas ? I have also checked the switch for door open/closed and its working fine.

People who don't know how to use a motorway ! i.e. sit in lanes 2 and 3 and not use lane 1. They don't realise these lanes are only for overtaking. Glad its now included in the driving test, now all we need to do is educate the older ones, by a quick flash !

I voted for Clumber park, great venue. Alton Towers a bit expensive for all the family, that I'll be tagging along.

Check out this site for kids days out. http://www.allkids.co.uk/days_out.shtml Some tried and tested. BUT, they are sooooooooo expensive, another home re-mortgage is required or an income of a professional footballer, or the usual credit card ! This ones quite cheap and cheerful though, good for the younger ones: http://www.sundownadventureland.co.uk/ -

jkspoff replied to iainkirk's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I had exactly same problem, it was the chip missing out of my key for the immobiliser, one of the kids had had it and took it apart ! Chip was never found, and I was in Scotland at the time (I live in Yorkshire)........to cut a long story short spare key was sent up and all was well. B) -

Just had it up on the ramp at CB's and it appears that the middle and back box have completely corroded to a point where the back box is hanging off, held on only by the clamps. The middle section joining the cat is corroded, so needs replacing too. So the middle box, pipes and back box, all in fitted
