If a digital external pressure gauge can be regarded as accurate then the TPMS is equally accurate. What isn't so good with TPMS is the durability of the valves and the costs associated with replacement!!

Was this discovered after renewing the fuel filter? It's just that fuel filters are replaced every third service. Not had this problem reported to me though but slightly disturbing to hear this !

The Central Fuse box is located under the passenger glove box. You need to loosen two screws on the covering plate to remove it then turn the knob through 90Degrees to release the fuse box from the retaining bracket. Lower the fuse box and pull it towards to you. Put it back the way you dismantled it.

When was the fluid last changed?

That message is a feature! Mine does it from time to time but nothing is wrong with the power steering.

I have this issue from time to time. Not bothered reporting to dealer as they are unlikely to be able to replicate fault when I need it to.

For my typical journeys the best so far is 56.7MPG (measured using fuel at the pump rather than the on-board computer) and I covered just over 800miles before filling up again. However this can quite easily fall to the mid-40s if I am heavy with the right foot. I tend to find the computer over estimates by 2 MPG. I use BP Ultimate too.

Hi, Could someone tell me which wire at the back of the Ford 6006CDC radio (Quadlock) provides the ACC power (the switched LIVE)?? I have located the perm 12V but can't find the switched one. I'm even using a mulitmeter ! Thanks.

no mention of the bodywork inspection? required at two year intervals to keep this part of the warranty intact. shown as a separate stamp in the book.

no I'm afraid not. however, the next question to ask is why have the rear tyres wore unevenly? how uneven are they? do you carry heavy loads in the back of your Gal? there could be a suspension/geometry setup issue with your Galaxy in which case your rotated set of tyres are only going to go the same way.

while your at it, might as well add the following to your "not fit for purpose" category: (1) Air con system (2) Suspension (3) Driveshafts (4) Booster heater The Galaxy might well be the No1 car in terms of practicality for me but the MK2 is an absolute sh*t bag in terms of reliability.

Looking through the manual it says that some models have them fitted and some don't. A great help! Before I make a call to either Ford Technical or the dealer can anyone on here tell me if mine would have one? I'd have a look for one on the car myself if I knew what it looked like !! Thanks.

yeah just change the glowplug. got mine from Ford and remember to ask for a discount ! FINIS : 1257205 was the part number for mine which was a 2003 TDi Ghia.
