Seat Couldnt Program My New Key
searcher replied to searcher's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I thought about that but when i asked how much a standard key was they told me the same price which i find hard to believe. I didnt realise the chip came out of the key. Had a look at that earlier and it looks like the chip is moulded into the key on the flip style one. Dont really want to force it too much or i will be up the creek without a paddle  . May try another Seat dealer next week on the price of a standard key -
Seat Couldnt Program My New Key
searcher replied to searcher's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Well i just took both keys apart again to have one more look inside. OH BUGGER The number on the chip IS the same on both keys but the new key has the letter F after it. Anyone got an idea if this is what is causing the programing problem and apart from getting another key is there a cheaper way around it Cheers Adrian. -

Seat Couldnt Program My New Key

Which bit is the pats chip in the flip style key. Ive had both keys apart side by side and checked all the numbers i can see and both are the same. What sort of number am i looking for on the pats chip? They can sell me the "blip" part of the key but thats the bit that is -
Well i had to pop to my Seat dealer today to get half of a front grill which flew out the other day when an artic wizzed past me blowing it out. Anyway, whilst there i asked if they could program the new spare key i bought off Ebay months ago. I just needed it programing for the imobiliser. Now the key in quwstion has a VW logo on it. When i bought it i made sure it was the correct frequency etc as my old one and it was. Whem Mr Seat fix it man looked at the new key he said it may not work due to being a VW key. We have had this problem before. Anyway he said hell give it a go and off he went. 20 mins later he came back and said sorry but as i thought i tried it twice but just keeps comming up with an error code. Whilst i was very pleased with the service i received (Holders of Congresbury) because i just turned up without an appointment and didnt have to pay a penny i was i bit miffed as to why the key didnt work. Why would the fact it has VW stamped on it make a difference. Even MR fix it Seat man said it should work fine but for some strange reason it doesnt and it wasnt the first time he had this problem. They want

Hi, can you tell me what you think about the quality of them? Do they seem good value for money? I would have thought you should be able to take the power from the radio area maybe. -
Electronics......hate' Em
searcher replied to kawasaki-krazy's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
I understand what you mean though. You just want a basic car with just the basic electronics that it needs to make it go and stop like the good old days. Theres some sense in what you are saying but to convert a car which has all the electronics fitted to ripping it all out i think you could be on to a non starter. If yo do manage it then please tell all. Maybe you could find an older car without so much fitted but improve the comfort etc etc etc to make it a bit more like a modern day car -
Yeh and still ends up going around in circles not having a clue where youve been or where your going :o :o :o

Jaguar Alloys/tyres On Galaxy?

Is this the sort of thing your on about Ebay item number 150212384534 -
Nice one. Sounds like you got a good deal there. I used to have a Ghia Gal and loved it. Chances are its just a dodgy parking sensor and whilst pricey for what they are its an easy fix.

What happened to the original subject of the Jag wheels :) ????????????? -
Sounds a fair price to me. Ive had a 115 Galaxy and now an Alhambra but have never driven a 130 to compare. Im not 100% sure but i think they both have the same torque. I cant see that 15bhp is gonna make a load of difference to be honest but no doubt someone with a 130 will be along soon to tell you its the best thing since sliced bread,

Did you notice much difference with the new suspension over the original. I find the original on the SE to be quite good for a car of its size and much better than the Gal i used to own. -
