What's Best To Stick A Parking Sensor Back On?
searcher replied to naim32's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I done the same thing on my old Galaxy and the only thing i had at the time was super glue. It was only going to be a temopary fix but sold the car months later and it was still on there with the super glue. I think the trick is get it in the exact spot and it should be ok. As for a cheap sensor, let me know if you find any because i could when i needed one. IIRC Ford wanted over -
Engine Revs On Start Up
searcher replied to searcher's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Oh i will do, its just nice to have an idea in my head before they try to bull**** their way out of paying for it. Any ideas folks Adrian. -
Just the last week - 10 days i have noticed the Ally not starting as it should. When the engine is warm and been stood an hour or so and you go to restart it, it fires up fine but revs very hard to about 4000 rpm as if the throtle is pushed down and then back down again. First couple of times it done it, it caught me out but now i switch it back off before it gets chance to rev too hard. This morning i had to switch it off twice so i am wondering if its getting worse. It doesnt do it every time. I doesnt do it when the engine is cold only warm after being stood. Any ideas folks as to what the problem could be. Many thanks Adrian.

Not sure as ive never done it but i think once the two side panels are removed from your Gal the markings for where to cut are marked on the inside of each panel.

Fitting Rear Parking Sensors
searcher replied to Davetheref's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I havnt got mud flaps -
I think youll find that you can only change the side light bulbs through the wheel arch flaps not the main bulbs. Simple answer is Big hands = take the unit out Small Hands = remove cover off the back of the unit to gain access to the bulbs

Go for it. No point leaving it to collect dust One thing i have noticed with the new stereo is that it looses the radio staions etc when the ignition is turned off. Im sure ive read about a live to the set for the memory but how do i go about this. The leads that came with the set were fine and ive now got the aerial adaptor and the signal is fine. A big big improvement over the old set so may leave the sub (for now  )

Well i bought the Pioneer today and first impressions is that its a big improvement. I need to buy an adaptor to allow me to plug the ariel cable in as its a bit different so hope that wont be a problem. Havnt bother with the sub as yet. Thought id wait to see how it sound without first.

Is the air filter housing clipped together correctly. I had this when i changed my air filter a while back and found the two halves of the air filter box wasnt clipped in right so was sucking air between the gap.

Yes you can and i think the tyre size is about 225 45 17. Dont forget you need reinforced tyres

That the problem, a load of them dont :20:

What normally happens is people buy the shelf and then realise they havnt got the fixings on the car to clip it to. May get second hand fixings but probably have to buy new from the dealer. Hit the search button as its been talked about before on here as to how you fit them. Welcome by the way.

I bought the Bosch ones on the Gal i used to own and they were fine. Sold the car about six weeks after and forgot to take them off and put the old ones back on. Would have been handy now ive gone back to the Ally. -
Seems a bit OTT just to park two wheels on the pavement :20:

Well ive tried to put up with the standard HU for a couple of weeks now but im not happy with it. Having spent the money on the speakers it seems daft not to do the HU also. Got a day off work Tuesday so a trip to the shops is on the cards me thinks. (Just realised i started this off in the MKIII section oopps)
