Lots of previous postings on this subject. I know because I went down the same path myself. After extensive searching for the answer to this it turns out that you cannot change the region coding on theses players, mainly because they are so basic and can only play PAL disks. I've had the black and white problem as well using DVD+R but maust admit I havn't tried the -R disks yet as my origonal DVD recorder only did +R's.

Sorry if this has been answered in the past but I did try a search and couldn't find anything. My son has just got a 2 year old Fiesta Finesse in bright red. He wants a touch up stick and at Halfords there seem to be a couple of Ford res that could be the one. I had one of their all knowing staff have a look at the VIN plate but he was none the wiser. My question is , what is the no. or part of the no. on the Vin plate would tell me the colour. Hope that makes sense

The Redeye has been covered on here a few times now. I have had one fitted for arround a year now and it does seem to make a bigf difference. yes I know that it really fools the engine into thinking its running cold etc. and I do get a little more smoke at times but when I have to take it off for a service etc at Frauds, I really notice the power has dropped again.

I have tried using DVD +r and they all seem to come out in black and white. Don't know about the DVD -r though.

Thanks Mike I suspected as much with them being so cheap on Ebay. I think I'll leave it for now.

Does anyone know if I'm likely to get any problems at fiiting Xeon bulbs in my mark 2, heat, fittings etc. I see there is a lot on Ebay and was tempted to buy a set. There is also a lot of sidelight Xeons on there as well.

Who is the main dealer at fault in this? Isn't it better to name and shame them especially if someone else is unlucky enough to visit the same area.

This has been covered a few times before and the general consensus is that you cannot make it multi region. I have the factory fitted Visteon as well and have searched the web extensively for the answer to this but I think the player is just too basic to be able to change.

You'll find a lot of threads from the past on here about the tuning chips, negative and positive. I must admit that I have been using one of the Red i chips from Ebay for about a year now and the only thing to remember is to take it off when going for a service.

I'm on my second Galaxy in a row , both deisel. Couldn't affrod to run the petrol version. :lol: Anyway, I just love it and I'm just wondering what to get next time as they are on their way out and I just can't seem to find another car with the same fit, so to speak. I'm also lucky ast not having any of the numerous posted inherent faults a lot of people get and you have to remember that you mainly only get to hear about the bad things on this site and for every complaint you get there is more than like 10 happy owners (just made up that stat but it sounds good).

I seem to remember some earlier threads about adding a few litres of petrol to a diesel when its almost full and this helps clean the injectors. Am I talking out of my a**e on this or have I got it right?? :huh: :(

I use TOM TOM on my Mitac Mio. The speed camera database is great and works really well. Just follow the install instructions to the letter and you should be ok. I wouldn't have thought you could break the existing setup, just that the POI works or it doesn't.

Thanks for the replys. It sounds like from them it could be a bit more than a fuse gone. I guess I can still take it back to Ford under warrenty as its only 18 months old.

I'm sure this is going to be a simple answer (I hope). I stalled my Gal on a hill and restarted it straight away and now none of the trip info is working and the box its in is blank. I also have an ! mark showing. Is this just a fuse gone or something likewise? Thanks in advance

I've got one of the cheap ones from Ebay and its the best buy I've made. A lot more omph right through the range and better MPG's as well. When I took it off for its service I really noticed the difference.
