Nimrod. That hole thats marked LPG. Is that where you put the diesel in?
-
Sorry, meant to say I wouldn't get near 100 MPH. I'd have a heart attack when I saw the MPG go below 40.
-
At really high speeds (120+) the tops of the doors do bend out slightly. Is that MPH or KPH. Not sure my 130ps Diesel will get near a 100 MPH .

Sorry to be an old moaner on this subject, but I have just got a new Galaxy with the exec pack, which means low profile tyres, 17" wheels etc. I actually think the ride isn't as good as my last galaxy without the wheels etc. It feels harsher over bumps and i tend to notice the noise more now on rough roads. Has anyone else noticed this or am I going nuts in my old age.

Ghia Tdi For Sale - Not Mine
Davetheref replied to Ivor_E_Tower's topic in Current Best Deals (Galaxy)
Just got leather seats on my new one. love them. -
Thats not true about the TDI. I have only had 3 heart attacks this last year when it went below 35mpg and the tic on my face is getting better and I only kick the dog and shout at the wife a couple of times a week now (or was that the other way round?). My shrink says its nothing to do the mpg but what would he know as he ONLY HAS A BLOODY PETROL ENGINE!!!!!!
-
I was going to supply a picture of my wife naked over the bonnet, but I would more than likely get thrown of the site altogether for cruelty to Galaxy's.

I THINK GALAXY'S SUCK. (just testing to see if my warning squares change)
-
The noisier the better if you ask me. Then I can't hear the wife.

Sorry, stupid question. what does IIRC mean? -
Sorry Seatkid. I did understand your joke and I thought I was being clever with the comment back as I have a very dry sense of humour. looks like I shot myself in the foot. As far as your comment about whether its legal or not. Didn't realise there was potentionally a problem using these things. I will have to check with a copper mate of mine. P.s. I am old enough to remember Caroline the first time round.

How much did it cost by the way to convert and did you have to have extra tanks fitted etc.

Also found a good uk site. http://www.allcam.biz/products/portable_dvd_accessories.html Modulators with car adapter

The web page for the item is http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...ct%5Fid=12-2053 And they do ship international, you just have to email them first.

I've just bought a wieless one on my holiday to the states from Radio Shack. Cost me $29 (

Sounds like you have been sniffing it as well as using it for fuel. All that messing about with conversions etc. and you may have problems trading it in when you've had enough, unlike like us steady oil burners who are all very safe, old and steady drivers ( I wish).

Tv Tuner For Dvd
Davetheref replied to Davetheref's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
Blimey. Cheers Tim. You even know the bus routes. Are you sure you don't work for Dynamic. Seriously though, thanks for the info again and I suspect I will have to wait about a month as I go on holiday week after next and the wife isn't too keen on me splashing out for this before we go. What is it with these women, don't they have any idea on how important the car is to us. Cheers -

Hi Tim. Spoke to them and they said they could do it this week. Not sure how I'm going to get the car to them as I work in the city but live in Stevenage. They also quoted me -
Tv Tuner For Dvd
Davetheref replied to Davetheref's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
Thanks for the reply Tim. I was starting to think no one had ever fitted a tuner. It was interesting that you mentioned about signal quality on the move as that was what I was hoping would work ok. I went to a local car audio shop in Hitchin, Fast and the Furious, and they told me that it was not worth doing full stop! and that put me off slightly. If you could give me the details of the place you used that would be a great help and it sounds cheaper than I have been quoted elsewhere. One last question. Where does your tuner sit in the car? Thanks in advance. -
100% agree with Dally about Motors Coalville. Just picked up my second in a row pre-registered 1.9 Ghia from them and am completly happy with their service. Don't mind driving 150 miles for savings and good service.
-
Actually, my last galaxy was in satin Silver as well and I normally like a colour change but Coalvilles only had that one in that colour. so the downside is that I cannot show off or be as posey with the neighbours as no one has noticed I've changed the car unless they are sharp and can tell the wheels are different. I'll have to hang a sign up I guess. Aside from that, I must admit that I have only bought cars from Coalville as its too far for me to get serviced there and I must be lucky as I had had no problems so far with my new one or any probs at all with the last one.
