  1. And how much did they rob you for one wheel, why not buy from ebay like the link i gave you?
  2. I know that the original post is over 2 months old but do you still have the seats for sale?
  3. But gregers, the car pumps out nearly 145bhp so it shouldn't be a slouch, a full diagnostic check-up should reveal any problems. If the OP would kindly report back, it would much appreciated.
  4. Kellymillie, unfortunately it's still to vague of your dillema you describe. The only thing i can suggest is to take your car along to Fords or to an independent garage who has the relevant equipment to run a full diagnostic check-up.
  5. I'm sure any independent/small garage will be hell of alot cheaper than Frauds or the cowboys at Kwit-Fit - and pre-warn anyone you go to that not to use the sills as jacking points.
  6. Here you go, but please use the 'search' facility. EDIT Sorry gregers, didn't see your link at the bottom - i think the one i included shows how to remove the linkage.
  7. Stick a bigger engine in it! Can you more specific - a 2.3l should have roughly 145bhp, which in my opinion is more than enough power unless you are having problems.
  8. According to the Ford handbook: 2.8i - V6 24V Power output: 204 ps which equates to roughly 201.2bhp
  9. No problem, it's great to see 'newbies' come back and tell us that the problem is solved.
  10. If that's MOM4, then i'll take her for 4 camels (since i'm a Muslim) and anything else i can find lying around my tent! :o
  11. We shall wait and see if jkspoff will shed some light.
  12. Ahhh. i see............................BUMP! :)
  13. I have been staring at the picture (left one!) for ages now, and i don't care what he meant................. :) If only my wife could.......................... b*llo*cks, here she comes.......................
  14. What, has he passed the buck??? :) Nah, surely not.................
  15. No a Y reg (2001) I think you misunderstood jkspoff, he is asking if the registration starts Y 58 _ _ _
  16. Ok, then i'll buy this one but i'll still need someone with VAG-COM to install it.
  17. What happens if you get a scratch on it - T-Cut it?? Knowing this people with more money than sense, they'll probably buy another one and give the old one to their young kids to go drifiting as seen on here.
  18. I would like to fit cruise control in my car, will this thing do the job along VAG-COM. If so,is there anybody around me who is willing to help and has VAG-COM - of course you shall be reimbursed with copious amounts of tea/coffee with choco biscuts! :) P.S. I am willing to travel a reasonable amount of distance.
  19. Yep, brilliant advice - i had exactly the same problem when i first got my car, i was forever running to my brothers who had a Galaxy to help/show me hows its done. So just to reiterate what Kev said: 1. Move the middle sits forward. 2. Tilt the seat to be fixed forward pivoting on the bracket on the floor pressing the bars together behind the seat until it clicks into place. 3. Then slam the seat down so the back hook catches the rear bracket.
  20. Do a search under 'parking sensors' and you will probably find an answer there.
  21. 3 pairs in just short of 9 months :) I'm haven't changed mine once yet and have had my car now for coming up to 3 years with 137k on the clock - and passed all previous (and current) MOT's without any problems/advisories until very recently as per my previous post. So. I too will very interested in the OP's outcome. I wonder if the OP will return with the diagnostics and cure...........we wait and see.
  22. IIRC, The Aspen was the entry level on the Mk1 back in 1995.with 5 or 7 seat option. Then came the GLX with 7 seats as standard plus swiveling front seats and electrically adjustable heated mirrors, then the Ghia version, In 1996 alloy wheels and a heated windscreen where added. LX and Zetec models replaced Aspen and the GLX March 1999. all Galaxys' were seven-seaters. Zetec has alloy wheels with locking wheel nuts, electric mirrors, front fog lights. Ghia X models came with three-spoke alloy wheels, fog lamps, cruise control, auto temperature control, a CD autochanger and the Ultima has leather upholstery, nine-spoke alloy wheels and traction control. Si models (2.3 and 2.8 V6) looked sportier with alloy wheels, side skirts, spoilers, front fog lamps and sports seats. The V6 Si has cruise control. There were also four wheel drive Ghia and Ghia X 2.8 models .. Now for the confusing part.........i've also heard from various sources that on some models of the Si did not have alloy wheels as standard... it all depended on how Ford felt the sales of new vehicles were going at the time. I know for a fact, that whilst i worked at BMW they indeed took a similar stance. If sales were low they would add a package to the base model with minimum if at all price increase to make it more attractive to the potential buyer. With regards to tyres and wheels then if it was up to me, i would upgrade to 16" with 215/55x16 tyres making sure the load index was equal to or higher than 94.
  23. Looks and sounds good - so how much for one these manual, hand operated vacuums pumps??
  24. The original post was well over a year old, i doubt it very much they will back to answer your query. You tend to find it a lot on forums that new members ask questions and if the problem is sorted then they disappear like thin air!
  25. Hi John, Welcome, To remove the engine undertray there are 6 bolts, you need an extension on your 10mm socket to get to the side ones (2 on each side) and it a bit of a strech on your back to undo the rear. But make sure you refit it after as it's a vital bit of protection for the PAS belt etc etc from the water and debris on the roads.
