frayed wires in the door pillar,check out the faqs.

the key may of been programmed to the car(pats system),but i think it still needs programming to the central locking,take a look in the faqs in the tech section of the forum and all should be revealed.hth.

remove the chip and reinstall it in the remote key. then have a serious thought about getting the spare key redone with a new pats chip and then reprogrammed,either by mobile locksmith or the stealers. OR KEV you thinking another way??? :D

its also gives you a really good feeling when your explaining to the supplying dealer just how crap his car/sales are in front of other potential customers,WATCH THEM RUN OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP B) ;) as i did. i personally think with a list that long i would reject the car pronto. i really cant see the dealer spending VAST amounts of his cash on fixing it.especially as the air con is fubared,just search on here for info on how much it can cost to be fixed. RUN........RUN......RUN AWAY and search for a better quality car. oh and see if the suppling dealer will pay the bill at your local garage :D

mines just like scorpios aswell,if im stuck in traffic the temp needle actually gos down, only when im moving does it move.

sounds like the wires in the door/s are frayed do a search,also look in the faqs in the tech section on broken wires.

as i have already posted,you have 28 days from time of purchase,MEANS ABSOLUTELY SOD ALL IF ITS A BACK STREET DEALER.its called law,under the sale of goods act etc etc,i:e fit for purpose,do not be fobbed off by them.time is of the essence. when i purchased my car about 3 years ago i had numerous problems with it,and after they tried to call my bluff THEY LOST :) they thought they knew better :lol: they didnt listen to me at all,so it cost them a bloody fortune,and this wasnt done on the warranty.

i was going to suggest a liquid gasket type thing,but mk2s way is probably a lot better.
