sounds like the after run pump need a service,look in the faqs for very detailed instructions on how to carry out repairs,this is why i think the booster is spooling up/down.??

dave if your hearing the buzzing noise then i would say its working ok, open bonnet and find it at the back of the engine(tucked up)and give it a feel,you can feel it humming.if you cant hear it then its the brushes(or could be?)there is a fix for it in the faqs.

yep im thinking that as well,there is a fix for it in the faqs, funnily enough mine is spooling up/down again,then realized the after run pump wasnt working,gave it a shake and fiddled with the wires and it sparked back into life, mmmm wonder if it needs stripping down again.

shouldnt do,only if you take the batteries out then it might need reprogramming to your central locking of the car, had my batteries out for over 20 mins and didnt need reprogramming. i think maybe there could be a build up of crud?take it apart and give it a good clean. BUT DO NOT LOSE THE LITTLE BLACK PATS CHIP OR YOUR BE SCREWED.

like most people here we offer advice to one another,whether you take it on board is down to you, SEP has been here a while and has contributed to this forum with his expertise and knowledge. all he has tried to do is offer his advice. i would suggest that,in your eyes as no one has out of thin air sussed your problem,then take it back to the garage that has done all the work and let them try and sort it. then you can post the results here so we can all know exactly what the problem was.

i am now with privilege insurance,they were a hell of a lot cheaper for compared to morethen.

could indicate that the alt pulley has seized,check out the thread on it,read up and see whether it sounds like your problem???

do you have global opening/closing on your car? as jay has said try looking closely at the wires,then take it from there.

yeah im afraid you have to think outside the box,and try different combinations when searching, i just tried ecu re map and loads came up,like this 1, http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...mp;hl=ecu+remap

do a search on this and all will be revealed. a few peeps have done this and posted about it on the forum.
