1st thing i would do is sort out some breakdown cover(sorry if this sounds blunt)but i would never have a car without some,just to cover situations like this. i dont wish to pry but have you not inquired about d.l.a? coz you might be able to get a car out of them? hope you had a good christmas anyway regards gregers

well 2 of three were up at a resonable 4am then woke the eldest at 4.15 :rolleyes: little buggers was goner put this in the rant section :lol: but you lot beat me to it :lol: oldest got a nintendo ds plus various games(the little gits better then me on the brainiac one)plus ps2 games,smellies,new stereo clothes etc etc etc etc oh and dosh middle 1 got a half share with the youngest of a new tele,plus a ps2 plus hughmungous amount of games plus clothes and dosh etc etc youngest got half a tele :P plus alsorts of games,dosh and various dressing up clothes so every 15 mins hes either superman,batman,some chap outa star wars or various other ones hes got,and every set hes had on he acts accordinaly :D he was 4 2 days ago so he keeps playing with all his birthday bits and bobs,place looks like a bomb site :P better half got rather expensive smellies and make up(then said to me in 17 years its the first time ive bought make up she really wanted then added a sting in the tail by saying was i trying to tell her summit :D )WOMEN U JUST CANT WIN :lol: :lol: oh and clothes and dosh. me i got shirts jumpers expensive smellies and wait for it...............yep socks :16: and once i stuffed the old bird we then had turkey :16: and all the trimmings hope you all had a marvellous day and bestest regards to you all :16:

my middle boy caught chicken pox 2 weeks before his christening :D luckily the scabs were virtuliy gone by the time the pictures were taken,he was not a happy chap.

its probably not the motor he needs if the one hes got at the mo is clicking then it suggests to me that the worm thread either side of the sunroof is stripped,he needs a complete sunroof mechanism by the sounds of it :ph34r:

i was really lucky found a guy on ebay breaking a galaxy,ended up getting him to join the forum its no other then our m8 steve67car(i think he collects cars :blink: )hes also a whizz on i.c.e aswell.

sounds like the clip holding the arm on the exterior handle has come adrift

yes it can be fixed.....ive done it and its a pig of a job....im sure i posted it here somewhere but hey ho YOU NEED TO GET HOLD OF A DONER SUNROOF BEFORE STARTING. you have to take the headlining out to be able to get to the sunroof runners and everything else thats there,it sounds like the worm on one side has stripped exactly like mine had done,undo all the bolts for the seatbelts etc etc,take out all the lights(rememmbering where everything goes)and gently prise the trim off, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLEAN HANDS OR WEAR GLOVES or the lining gets grubby start at the rear hatch and gently lower the lining down once dropped iirc its masticed to the front windscreen use a filling knife to gently remove from said windscreen,once down GENTLY REMOVE HEADLINING THROUGH THE REAR HATCH PLZ BE CAREFUL i ended up running down the road with it coz the wind got up,once out put it somewhere safe,now you can see the sunroof in all its glory,i took it all out as it was far easyier to work on then in situ,ONCE YOUVE STUDIED THE INNARDS OF IT you will understand how things work you will need to take the doner sunroof apart CAREFULLY to see how it all works iirc the worm runners are not interchangeable ie left is left and right is right watch how it works on the runners and how the guides work coz its a matter of trying to line everything up,WHATEVER YOU DO CHECK,CHECK AND CHECK AGAIN. then if all has gone well its a case of putting everything back in the reverse order,but make sure the roof is working exactly right before replacing the headlining. i done this about 3 years ago so im sorry if its a bit up and down if i can be of any help then pm me and ill try to help in any way possible. TOOLS NEEDED A GREAT BIG PAIR OF GONADS :rolleyes: A TORX SCREWDRIVER soz cant rememmber what size various screwdrivers a BOOK ON SWEARING a nice day and a missus who dosent want to go shopping when the cars in bits :D took me nearly a whole weekend to sort it out and i got it working perfectly with no leaks GOOD LUCK REGARDS gregers
