can you give us a bit more info on your problem,it might only be the clock spring that needs renewing,if so this problen has been posted quite a few times!so do a search on clock spring it might help you in the answer your looking for.

it didnt really give any warning,just opened and bang,now ive got jaggered bits of metal where it was attached to the door!

opened my passenger rear door this evening and it made a horrendous clank and on further inspection on the door where the retainer attaches itself has completely snapped(i will try and post some pics tommorrow),when you close the door the 2 no bolts that hold the retainer to the door disapear into the door itself. ME THINKS THIS IS GOING TO BE A BLOODY COSTLY REPAIR :lol: any idea as to why it has happened,it gave me no notice that it had seized up at all any cheap repair that can be done? and if i get it welded(if possible)will it be a lasting repair? regards gregers
