it amazes me on how thick the dealers are when it comes to cock ups and hoping that the problem will not rear its ugly head and come back and bite them on the arse, thats the power of a little bit of information gleaned from this forum,GOOD RESULT :)

Would You Buy This On A Budget?
gregers replied to neiluk's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
ring them up and ask if they would allow the car to be fixed elsewhere etc and if they agree get it in writing, but then again if you are unfortunate to brake down TELL THEM TO COME AND GET IT. -
depends on whether its a tdi or a petrol, iirc petrol have a timing chain and the tdis have belts,im sure someone who knows more will be along soon to give you all the right info on this.

How Do You Test A/c Working In Winter.
gregers replied to neiluk's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
altho its always a good idea to pretend you dropped your pen under the passenger seat, so you can feel the carpet in the passenger footwell... ohmy.gif why pretend,if its your hard earned dough, then do it in front of the dealer, lets them think you might know what your doing :) -
hi and welcome, the great big seat thing is to do with your logging on details you can change it to a ford or a vw if irrc.

UPDATE well dropped the car off at the dealers at 10am,they said it would be ready by 4.30pm,i walked in at 4.30 the car was in bits and thats where i waited until 5.25pm and that was just for the headlight repair, confirmed drop links needed replacing parts are on order(well will be)coz it was too bloody late in the day to order them then  AND SURPRISE SURPRISE sorry we cant diagnose the aux (BOOSTER)heater BECAUSE OUR COMPUTER WONT COMMUNICATE WITH THE CAR now theres a bloody big surprise (vauxhall dealership) so its now got to be booked into the local ford dealers to be sorted  ahhh well wonder if theres anything else i can find thats knackerd .wouldve thought this would be costing them a pretty penny.glad i aint paying for it.

UPDATE!!!!! :16: well after scouring the pages in the faqs,it has now become apparent THAT MY BLOODY AUX HEATER DOESNT WORK,it was 7 degrees this morning and absolutely no sound or murrmers from the heater at all,and it seems to be making some clonking noises when we go over bumps,so as its in the dealers on friday having the headlight sorted its now going to be looked at for all the other things that could be wrong with it, oh gawd explaining the aux problem to the receptoinist was a classic :16: so thats the heater inside ur car not working,no its the aux heater not working ETC ETC ETCabout 5 mins to explain. oh the joys of the galaxy especially as its only 2 weeks old to me :16:

ok peeps payed a visit to the vw dealers today and asked about keys(transponder)etc, and was told that basically if i buy a key other then a ford 1 it wont work, something to do with the different programing they all use,mmm dont they all have vag-com? they said that they cant reprogram a ford,or a skoda or a seat!!!. now surely it doesnt matter whos key i obtain aslong as the code corresponds with my original key?because at some point(when funds allow)i will have to have it reprogrammed to my car anyway. also poped over to fords to find put how much they would like me to part with my hard earned cash, and the buggers said it needs to be booked in for an hour @
