dave you should be able to see a lot more info,when i checked mine it came up with thatchem 1 alarm. on the right hand side of the page where all your details are listed,you should see under neath it all highlighted in blue'there are more features etc click to expand' click on it and then scroll down the list.

go to www.fordetis.com, then type in your reg no and on the options list it should be able to tell you what alarm is fitted to your car.

from what i have read,you need to pre fill the filter and use a primming bulb. and ive moved this to the correct section of the forum.

OH VERY DEAR. welcome to the forum,but it sounds like you have lost the pats chip when you changed the battery. YOU need this hence why the car wont start,get on your hands and knees and search for it and pray. do a search on here for more info has been countless times.good luck in your quest.

well the normal things really,does it start ok,does it brake in a straight line,does everything work inc aircon.if its from a dealer get a warrenty.check any of the history that is with the car,make a note who supplied it then give the dealer a ring to glean some more info about any work that has been carried out on it. i bought my 08 smax tdci with 100k on it im the 2nd owner,its now got nearly 111k in the 3 years ive owned it,so its having a bit of a rest.

could be?but from what ive read it could take a very long time before it goes,my smax does this. might also be a hole in 1 of the pipes?.

could be wrong but i think you will find that if its doesnt light up they could well fail it anyway.

could it be the run on pump you are hearing?

best bet woud be ebay,i ended up going down this route and buying a full size 18" snowflake that are fitted to my smax as i beleive they havnt produced an actual proper spare for these cars??

welcome to the forum,as you have found in the past like any car there are good ones and bad,luck of the draw. if your luckey you may find a decent mk2 ghia tdi with all the toys and leather,but be prepared they are still hold a fairly decent value especially if its a good mileage,now if you have read on this forum you will see a few members posting there general problems with the mk3(in there eyes)again this is there own opinions,i do regret EVER selling my old mk2 tdi but am now running a smax,again if you have a read up a bit the mk2 galaxy tdi is basically a vw,so dont forget to be looking at vw sharans and seat alhambras tdi's. dont know how much your budget is but if your looking at mk2's then a decent mk3 may be out of reach unless its been hammered? now if your looking at the smax,it is a lot smaller then the galaxy but in my opinion look a bit better then the mk3,it certainly doesnt drive like a mpv.the rear most seats really are for kids,i couldnt/wouldnt fit in them,but unlike the mk2 they fold into the floor. oh and the mk2 tdi is HELL of a lot better on fuel then the mk3 and smax. good luck in your search and keep us informed.

brake switch is under the dash board above brake pedal,iirc there is info on this in our faqs?if not do a search on the subject.

if it was blocked then maybe the pressure has blown the pipe apart?

welcome to the forum, well 1st port of call is to check VERY CAREFULLY the wires in ALL door gaitors including the rear hatch for any broken or frayed wires,as this problem can cause the symptoms you are suffereing from. do a search in the faqs found in the technical section of the forum for info on mending them correctley.

as above and dont forget to check the wires in the rear hatch rubber gaitor aswell. if once you have checked everything and it still doesnt work,then swap the switch with the passenger 1, if still not working then it may be the window motor itself,either its fubared OR it could be that the wire in the regulator itself has over run and is siezed hence why the glass wont move.

have you checked the wires in the rear hatch? as daddy says its probably a broken wire.
