welcome to the forum tom, as the beast has already said you have a mk3.so have moved it to the correct part of the forum. when you say bluetooth is this for your phone?because you should already have this fiited as standard anyway. try looking on ebay for an upgrade for your car,but as they are built in i think it will be slim pickings.

have a read through here on opinions on the mk3,there are good and bad 1s. i bought my smax with 100k on the clock when it was 3 years old,im its 2nd owner with a full service history dont be put off about high mileage cars, try and get a years warrenty thrown in just for peace of mind. also take a look on the 'ford etis site' for info about the car.

so theyve changed all of that and your still having problems? think id be throwing a hissy fit at them.

yes its not forum policy to give out codes,if someone wants to help you by pming you the code then thats up to them? as for the program just search google,theres plenty out there.

has the pollen filter ever been changed? have you tried using a different switch, update your profile to give us a clue whereabouts you are as someone near you may be able to offer some help,or maybe you could borrow their motor to see if it really isnt a wiring problem?

try putting the key in the rear lock and holding it in postion when you turn it(either direction) cant remember if it will open all dors when you do this but worth a try,if it works then i would say you have to check the wires in ALL doors and maybe taking the door card off on the drivers door to inspect the door lock to see if its breaking down,if it is on eaby they now sell lock repair kits.

iirc open bonnet and undo the 2 plastic screws,and the unit will just lift out very simple job.

once you have plugged it in,have you configured it on the convers system? or do you just have to press the aux button on the stereo?

well it does look like the mk3/smax has inherited the same problems as the mk1 and mk2,so 1st port of call would be to chck for broken wires in the door gaitor.

ive just had to repair the wires in my smax,the gaitor on the right hand side is where i found the problem in mine. also my middle brake light doesnt work,and from what i have read it is a wiring loom problem i changed the bulb and it blew instantly.it will pass an mot without the top brake light from working so ive left it.

or find a citreon 2cv,you fussy bugger. i can understand your frustrations m8.have you actually taken any out for a test drive. we drove a fooksal antara we felt it was a very nice car,but as soon aswmbo drove the tiguan then that was it. we drove the nissan cashqui (sp) didnt like it and rear head room was awful.

from a personal point of veiw i wouldnt entertain a large car with such a paltry engine shoved in it. yonks back i had a 1.6 zafira on hire nearly got stuffed on a junction i was trying get out of because of the lack of power.never again. i know you say you dont like suv'v,but have you ever driven any of the new 1's? we have a vw tiguan basically a pumped up golf.lovely to drive.or a kuga.still a ford m8.lol.

where abouts are you? i have a compressor sitting in my garage,minus the clutch as i robbed it for my mk2 tdi 115bhp.dunno if they have the same code though?

you say fords are doing there best,mmm i dont think so.think its time you started threatening them under that sale of goods act,do look up the correct info on this so you are pre warned on how much you can push it.

iirc on my mk2 everything apart from the bulb was fitted,just knocked out the blanking plate and fitted a bulb.
