just take a look in ebay and see how much there going for,also look at the dealers near you for a rough guide on how much to ask for,think your find the dealers will be selling near the price your asking for yours and bear in mind they will put a warranty on it,will you?think you need to realistically look on how much you will be willing to get for yours,IF YOU DO get the amount your asking ask them if they want another 1 coz i know i wont get that for mine.

well on mine i have the bonnet switch but no under bonnet light,where talking of a whole mismatch of electrical items on these cars,that even the so called experts have no idea on,iirc under the passenger seat is the ecu/control box,if it has 3 terminal blocks attached to it you have an alarm if only 2 then you dont(i was told this when i had my mk1 2ltr petrol).

as i assume its still under warranty,id take it back.it could be something to do with the immobilizer/alarm and if your car was to get nicked there could be a problem with you claiming???.

do a search fr vag com on here theres plenty of info, AND LAY OFF THE CAPS.

weve just spent the day in london visiting the museums etc which if any of you lot didnt know?are free to get in :D ,and apart from the lovley super(dream) cars driving around(porsche/mercs/bmw/astons/masaratis/bentleys/rolls royce/ferraris/lambos etc. i couldnt believe the ammount of shalaxys there were on the streets,they seem to be a very popular car to own,admmittinly there were a few taxis but think there were more private? ones makes you wonder if any of them are members here?

no its not a straight forward job just to peel back the lining,to do this you have to remove the side door pillar trim and seat belts etc,then remove the lining out of the rear hatch,MAKING SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN. westhaven it might be just a build up of crud that needs to be cleaned away but iirc on the side of the sunroof(inside looking up)there are some screws for adjust the sunroof you might be able to adjust the roof by undoing these and pushing the roof up. think it might be worth getting some thin long metal and gently poking it down the sides etc just to make sure theres nothing stuck inside?.

the firm i work for put there prices up by 7% and they gave us a 3% pay inflation rise and said its above the rate of inflation YEAH RIGHT,makes you wonder where its all going to end up,the media keep talking about an impending recession,think its going to end up as a depression.theres going to be an awful lot of peeps in poverty.

think id be inclined to see if anyone near you has vag-com (or buy)just to see what fault codes come up,did you forget to change the pollen filter when you carried out your servicing not that it could be the problem,have you checked the maf,could there be splits in any pipe work,id certainly would be checking as much as you can yourself because as sepulchrave has eloquently :rolleyes: put it,it could end up costing you an arm and leg if you leave it at the garage.

think you might need to take advice on what fords have said to you,wouldve thought(my opinion)that if they have said that they are going to repair it then back out,then surley they have entered into an agreement with you,obviously it cheaper for you but sounds to me there trying to weedle there way out of doing the work?????.

Hi all just an update the cars gone back into the garage for the last time, if the repair is not satisfactory as per the instructions of the trading standards i can request an independent inspection to assess the workmanship but both parties have to agree to this, so if the garage refuse to agree to an independent inspection,just where does that leave you and have you asked the trading standards people about this scenario?.
