doesnt the centre console for the vhs/dvd block the seat rotation (just behind handbrake) ?

umm sounds like glowplug to me

f car temp rose as normal (missed that first time round) then aux heater is probably ok - well not the cause of your woes anyway sorry tim I didn't see your post I appear to be having some issues with the forum not refreshing very well ATM

I'm assuming it what happens to the temp gauge on the 10 mile run?

did the little exhaust pipe from the aux heater get warm at all?
