  1. if you do high mileage the better economy of the diesel gives you a better return on the extra you have to pay - if you only do a few miles then you are not going to save enough money to justify he higher cost of buying a diesel (over a resonable period of time anyway) eg say you do 10k per year and diesel costs
  2. failing maf sensor can affect the fuel economy(before perfomance) what sort of mileage has it done commonly 40-50k (although not all cars seem to suffer though)

  6. despite having an auto I'm not sure how it all works but isn't this handled by the 'kickdown', on this box which has sports mode actuated by a fast depression of the accelerator this should product a drop in gear and then the box will hold that lower gear for longer before changing up it sounds like you are gettiing sports mode but no kickdown - I thought that was handled by a simple switch but I'm often wrong :16:
  7. What planet are you on then ? Ford Brochure Figures: Gal Mk2 overall length 4641 mm width 2142mm height 1759mm wheelbase 2835mm S-Max overall length 4768 mm width 2154mm heigth 1658mm wheelbase 2850mm :16: Andy. but big_kev will never accept those - they are given out by the manufacturer :16:
