  1. agree with Soptom - plenty of other sections - as for 18+ section why not just keep it clean ;)
  2. there's a link in the 'Useful links' section which will tell you what should be done if you can't fond your handbook ;)
  3. I assumed that the op meant that it stopped accelerating since the op didn't specify a speed that it slowed down to! If it really slows down the I would suspect the tracks on the accelerator pedal sensor (throttle position sensor??) there are 2 tracks wonder wahat happens if they report different readings!
  4. how many miles ?? Possibly the MAF - try unplugging it and see if it makes any difference to the drivability see the faq for location
  5. way back when we used to have a button to warn mods about a post - Glen said he removed it to save them from being swamped
  6. see the faq - 4 from top - click on the links in my signature - good idea to put your car details in your sigs
  7. if you look in the faq about 4 down removing mk2 door card   assuming you have a mk2  best put your car details in your sig (click on the links in my sig for both)

  12. yes - always fiddling with mine :D :D :D do you use the tiptronic - only time I do (apart from hilly country) - coming up to junction/roundabout put it in tiptronic mode and there is no hesitation in accerleration, just pulls as soon as go faster pedal pressed (in auto mode the is a pause while reselecting correct gear) :16:
  13. bit easier if you post on the original thread - it will be bumped up and we can see it all together Done thanks for moving post Mo4

  17. I'm assuming that you mean 1.9 tdi (put your car details in your sig - saves typing them repeatedly), brake fluid should be changed every two years - service schedules
  18. memo to self: click on the thumbnails and look at both pictures - :) missed the arrow too :D :D
  19. umm just clicked 'view new posts' got a list of about 13 - read one went back and now they are all marked as read !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. thats a useful link funbus - I'll put it in the links section when I can get a moderator to unlock the thread
  21. Temperature and Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (TMAP) measures the atmospheric pressure with ignition on and manifold vacuum pressure when engine is running as well as the manifold air temp can't see it working very well covered in oil :) :D
  22. nice neat job - can you come and do mine??? :D ps thanx for the pics :)
  23. air intake from airfilter through MAF (with wires plugged in) I guess - what model car ?? Put details in your sig - see mine for link :D
  24. high CO would indicate not enough oxygen for complete combustion to CO2 ie still too rich - I know the MAF in the petrol derivatives are not a critical as the tdi but could a dodgy MAF mess the mixture up ? - sorry if youv'e mentioned this - I had a quick read back but couldn't see it.
  25. no a belt - change every 40K
