i know these donations are voluntary but is there a figure that is needed to be achieved every week so as to keep the site running at top notch if so maybe a voluntary fee could be set for members to pay on a monthly basis or annually , as you say we are all here to help each other but without the site then a lot of us will be up $H1T creek witout a paddle :D and would be paying ford big bucks. Just a thought :D

bought a new arm from ford couple of weeks ago and it cost just over

i think my original post was a bit short of the mark i should have explained it was not a single wire but a set of wires with a plug connector on the end with about 6/8 connectors on it :D i do apologise :D

was under the motor the other day and noticed a wire had been disconected from the heater under the car, would this be a quick main dealer fix as to sort out a smoking problem perhaps?

i have just been to penzance and averaged about 41mpg at about 80/85mph this of course involved a lot of stop starting as we were on the shitty poxy always bloody well being dug up M5 :10: so i am well impressed with that return and will be looking for a bit more return in july/august as i am off to france were the road system is magnifigue or bostin if in brum -_-

Problem Getting Into Reverse - Clutch?
raymac replied to Buncers's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
If it is selecting forward gears ok when driving but it is crunching when selecting reverse then iid be inclined to think it is something other than the clutch , i had a similiar problem with my passat and when i dipped the clutch i would wait 2/3 seconds then engage reverse and no probs with crunching after that, might be worth a blast :5: -
have you tried the rear washer pipe that runs down the n/s front of the car :23: http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...findpost&p=8493.

Problem Getting Into Reverse - Clutch?
raymac replied to Buncers's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
The same reason most manufacturers do it so as to make it far to difficult for people like us to have a go ourselves and have to take it to the dealer so they can rip us off  most cars nowadays have the slave cylinder inside the gearbox but not so many years ago they were on the outside so if they leaked it was a easy seal overhaul now it's a box out job and whilst it's out it's going to need a new clutch also sir and you can see the pound signs in there eyes as soon as you mention clutch  so lets hope you are a lucky bleeder :) :) -

Rear Brake Discs And Pads
raymac replied to bigdaddy's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
They seem to be quite a decent price and are probally worth a go :( -
The only thing i would pay for them to do woul;d be the fluid change i would be inclined to purchase the pads and not from ford either and fit them myself and save yourself a right few bob :o the pads are quite a simple job i think you will need to buy a tool to screw the rear caiper pistons back but that would not cost a fortune, unbelieveable prices
-
Make sure you shut all the windows and doors :D otherwise you will get wet :o joking apart i booked to take a mini bus before i got my galaxy and when i informed them of my change to galaxy and i would be taking roof box there was no extra charge , just phone them and let them know , from dover to calais cost
-
here you go have a look at this i did mine yesterday but will have to do it again as i need some glue as to make sure it will not come off again easy to do though  http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...wtopic=4980&hl=

Cheers for that i suppose that is really a trivial thing
