I Am Now Working For Fraud Stealers
mumble_bee replied to mumble_bee's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
our current GM was the Parts Manager not too long ago... and he's getting alot of stick for the underperformance of the dealership... he's also an alright guy... give me a proposition I can take to him. One of the things that has impressed me about the company is the transparancy across hierarchies..... (except for 1 of the mangers.. the rest are willing to listen to us scum and act on it) -

hey, as long as you're asking go for the Focus ST mo4.... -
Stop gap ? I dunno, I just took the job, I have no idea why, the pay is miserable, the hours are bad, its totally unrelated to what I've done in the past, but I'm here..... but hey they gave me a nice car to drive, whilst I wait for a galaxy. Anyway I work at Hartwell Ford, in Dunstable in used car sales (hah cool huh ?) In my 3 Looooong weeks there, I have been able to establish a good relationship with the Workshop Controller.. so if I can help in anyway.. please let me know, because I really dont know how long I can hack it here... All questions are welcome.

hiya, I've had both the v6 and 2.3, 1 preceding the other, and I can honestly say the 2.3 is the far superior engine in town. yes the v6 is great on the motorway where in my experience the 2.3 is pants. however given the choice again I would take the 2.3 any day. the v6 always felt heavy around town. and yes you will struggle to get much over 20mpg with the v6. in summary: the 2.3 is pokey the 2.8 v6 is a lumbering oaf.

Letter To Ford Uk Md - Read Before You Buy New Galaxy
mumble_bee replied to hp4020's topic in MKIII Technical section
I think it would be better if you had listed the problems you had with the dealership seperately to the manufacture of the car. Altho I'm expecting a Galaxy MkIII in the next couple of weeks as my company car, so I'm pretty worred.. especially that trim coming of the A pillar on the motorway.... -
hey explorer, good luck for your france trip, let us know how the gal performed and welcome btw.

I wasnt a fan of the mk3 at all, until today, I sat in a new one at the ford dealers in dunstable.. it took my breath away. I had considered going for the s-max, and tbh the ford sales ppl are pushing the s-max more. but when I sat in this gal on a ghia spec ++++ extras (

bozfella I had a 2.3 and a 2.8auto, and the 2.3 felt far nippier in town than did the clunky heavy 2.8, it should drive like a typical 16v tbh...

2.3 Overheating On Idle Part Ii
mumble_bee replied to jimjamjo's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
tbh, if it aint broke, dont fix it.. -
i had this on my v6 auto where it would sometimes not start.. however I think it was something to do with the gearbox, cause when I pressed the brake down and turned the ignition it would fire up.. weird thing was I had to hold the key in the fire it up position about half a second before it would start... before i figured out it was brake/gearbox related I sometimes took the key out and put it back in to start it.. good luck azeem

Hole Too Big Cd Too Small
mumble_bee replied to marinabrid's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
there are different centre console panels and heating control outer panels, the parts are cheap from fords or VW, this was to allow for double din or the nearly double din that the 6000cd is (I think). gl -
damn thats one I could have answered too

Auto Air-con Fan Control
mumble_bee replied to ninjakev's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I had the same problem, until I started to think outside the box... I looked at the down arrows buttons and they seemed to just get stuck in that position... its ever so slight a depression... (mine is the mk1 cc... but looking at the mk2 panel it has a similar button design and middle ridge.) I would hope its something as simple as this.. as opposed to alternative more complicated solutions.. -
as long as you're happy.... :angry2:

hi supersoda, I'm gonna start it off (and go out on a limb as always till the big boys get here). Firstly welcome on board... I think the VR6 engine is the same across the VW range... including the galaxy v6 mk1. however I think I heard somewhere the differences are in the mounts only... ie: for different cars... dunno...
