argh all of a sudden... there are more on ebay theres a sharan breaking in yorkshire - woo I'd love to go back - havent been there since college... anyway he's got 5 out of 7 seats.. and carpets etc.. gotta ring back when the boss is there... and.. theres these nice looking seats that are from the 2001+ can be used for the back that will kinda match... twiddle dee and twiddle dum - wot to do. I know m04 u suggested I wait till the auction ends.. but I've kinda offered him the money now and I have to go down and see the seats now... I mean I can say I dont like em - and not buy them... but I cant change my mind NOW !!!!! bleh

with what youve said - is it wise to place so much importance to a FULL DEALER service history when buying a car ? I am a Honda Legend Fanatic- I've owned at least 5 different mk2 legends and still do today.. I learned very quickly that a decent forum - with good techies on it would teach you more than any dealer mechanic knows or will EVER know. Lots of Headache with 2 different Honda Dealers, caused me to give up on dealers, and I cant see why frauds would be any different.

I didnt read the posts properly and wrote some useless malarky here - which I have - replaced with this - EVEN MORE useless bleh.

I've been involved in alot of online meetemups in the past.. back from when I used to play a mud in uni (1992/3) (Multi User Dungeon/Domain) - which were the first online games.. we used to have mudmeets in pubs - usually in london.. Its fantastic cause you meet ppl who are so nutty online - and are the meekest of meek - tbh meek enough to enter heaven.. irl (in real life) best thing is the mud we played was based on lord of the rings type characters.. so you played away thinking you're chatting up this nymph princess and she turned out to be a 6 ft 3, 22 stone SERIOUSLY HAIRY Geezah. I know I'm new here, but hopefully by july I'll be settled in.. however the mrs. is having our 4th (god willing) end of july ish.. so that means she cant come :ph34r:.. and it means if I come I've got a good reason not to be at the birth.. I hope.

thanks for that guys - I remember sending a request through to them.. but like most breakers they are looking for 350-500 quid for 7 seats.. ok so I have 6 seats right now but tbh they stink I;d rather just chuck em and get new ones.. anyway there this chap on ebay - nice guy it seems..and the seats look CLEAN. Here's the link I'm not sure they are a great colour and his auction is ending in just under 2 days. he says he'll take 250 if I buy before the auction ends, now tbh I'm happy to take 250 (actually I offered).. the colour is abit - I dunno - but if any of you have seen that colour it would help to know what it is.. not the beige bit - the other purply thing ( me no good at art blue=purple=aqua=bleh) I could wait for the auction to end and try and get a bargain - but its one of those things - I know my budget is 200-ish so might as well get em ? so unless some serious dissenting voices warn me away - I think I'll get em friday (today) the other thing about breakers is - ALL THEIR SEATS are MINT - they just need a wash... well it seems this chap has actually washed his.. and anyway - since I'm still ranting - who cares whether the design is silly cause the kids are gonna mess em up anyway -and I'll prolly get covers for em.. /end rant.

I'm poor, only way I could get me a decent gal was get one with a dodgy interior. either that or sell my honda legend - which I am absolutely NOT prepared to do.

ye cheers, I tried them, I'm waiting on responses.. I need the full interior u c. update - I've called 50 now, and 1 of them has the seats. ( all 7 - wow ) but he's charging London prices ;) another guy had the carpets, headliner and dash - and he was asking 200 squid for that - I nearly had a heart attack.

I phoned the 30 closest breakers to Luton ( and I had to go as far out as 20 miles) and not a single one of them is doing galaxy/alhambra/sharan. how poo is that

This is very popular nowadays.. and incredibly easy to set up. should only cost the price of the BLOOTHOOT GPS unit - ( I knew a guy couldnt say bluetooth ) dunno if its been said before , but I set it up on my nokia 9500 - which uses the S80 version of TomTom Mobile 5.2 .. software is available - all over the place <_< I guess its prolly possible on ALOT of phones out there - just have to get the right software. for me I was lucky it all cost nowt, cause I had a dig in the shed - and found -as if by magic- a BLOOTHOOT GPS in the bottom of a forgotten box.. Its really good - cause the kids always have a surprise voice for me.. some times its DARTH VADER or YODA.. or even KITT .. my favourite is Dr. EVIL aaaanyway ;)

they are apparently NEW. the geezer said the mondeo seats would fit, however if I wasnt satisfied then he said he has also mounted the seat to the galaxy seat base. (ie the one that comes outta your car) I have just got a slap on the wrist from the mrs, so its not happening for me :D altho - there is another guy in "portugal" who claims to work at a sharan rekitting factory or something bleh, and he has some leather seat covers - which he says are the originals.. what he has atm is : 5 covers for the back of the seats, 4 covers for the base/lower part of the seats, and 2 headrest covers... he doesnt want alot for them ( I think something like 60 quid) delivery would be another 20 odd.. they are in black - however as they are new and for the new seats themselves, and I have a mk1, I'm not totally sure they would fit my car. I did take one of my lowers off and the actual foam design looks ALOT like the new ones.. so again - I dont know.. If I go ahead with that guy - I'll not tell the missus - cause I can get away with spending less than a ton ( I hope ) and not have to tell her.

hey marauder thanks for the reply.. yeh I was gonna worry about the lap belt - later tbh. would appreciate from anyone who has Definite knowledge, I'm especially worried about the front seat compatibility.

******UPDATED SEE BELOW******* hi just wondering what the backward compatibility of the seats is. ie: can I stick mk2 seats in a mk1 car ? I seem to remember a single statement by someone that it can be done for the middle row or something. what I'm interested in is the whole shabang from front to back. The reason I ask, is cause the entire interiors can be got for near enough a monkey.. and the newer seats "seem" more comfortable and supportive than the mk1. Thank you in Advance...
